Apex Legends vs Titanfall - Should Titanfall Fans Feel Betrayed?

The Titanfall community appears to be having its own little civil war, with fans being split between either hating or loving Respawns recent release, Apex Legends.

Why is there always an implication that someone, somewhere should personally feel wronged about any action taken in gaming.
Please feel free to like or not like the game, and it is okay to be somewhat disappointed that Apex' release undoubtedly has impacted the timeline for the next TFall, but for Christ's sake quit being outraged about everything, and quit trying like to out outrage everyone else. It is not a betrayal, it's a freaking unnanounced game launch.

I loved Titanfall 1 and 2, but EA sent 2 out to die. Respawn needs a win, if Apex is that maybe they get a shot at TF3, so Titanfall fans should be happy and actually support apex if it is good

We survived Titanfall 2 having a horrible launch window, I think we can survive this. Especially now that they confirmed another proper Titanfall title is on the way. Let Apex do its thing.

Exactly. We're lucky we got another fps in the same world using the same guns honestly. I was afraid another EA pushed star wars game was all we would see out of them for a while which is upsetting since I'm not a star wars fan.

huh? They made by far the best battle royale game, and its free. If you like Titanfall you will most likely like this.

I feel if this game is a success which it looks like it will be, it’s going to really let EA let Respawn do what they want with Titanfall 3. I don’t think anyone should feel betrayed since the chance of titanfall 3 before apex was never going to happen.

Yes. If anything it will bring a load of new players into being interested in the next Titanfall game, therefore ensuring the series continues.

Why should anyone feel betrayed? Did Respawn personnaly went up to each Titanfall fan and told them; "I sware to God I will make TF3 just for you"? Yeah, I didn't think so. Every developer should make games they want to make and not games they are forced to make. The market will answer if they made the right decision or not. Apex is not bad at all, though it's very barebones but at least it is free.

I've never liked Battle Royale games. Apex Legends, though, is really good. Ping system is fantastic for cooperation without having to talk, feels smooth and different enough to have its own personality, and it moves so much faster than other games in the genre when it comes to traveling and encountering team fights.
