Yesterday Andrew Wilson said that focusing on Single Player and not Battle Royale is what ruined the sales of Battlefield V. Jake gives his opinion on why he thinks this is rubbish.
Today, during EA's conference call for investors and analysts, the publisher's executives talked about the future and the next generation of consoles.
I am all for another Battlefield in a few years time. DICE obviously needs their time to avoid another Battlefield V horror release.
"EA's E3 2019 press conference is over, and I honestly feel bad the people who hosted this presentation...And I feel equally bad for those who watched the show on site and from the comfort of their homes, and this is the reason why." - Justin Easler, TGG.
Battlefield, FIFA and Madden, these 3 games are at every E3. It's hard to stay interested when we see the same thing every year.
Player 2 looks at the hype cycle and how to best approach it. Is it with distrusting cynicism or hopeful excitement?
I have decided on complete cynicism in all forms of media / entertainment. With so much going the subvert expectations route or so much just sucking I dont really care anymore & Im gonna be extremely cautious & cynical about everything from here on out
Single player was the main reason I purchased it.
That's because as usual EA knows nothing. Single player shooter campaigns are fun.
EA are so clueless. They see any game as a disappointment if their game isn't making hundreds of millions. They released a game desperate to cash in on the Battle Royale fad, but didn't realise that the gap was already filled. Anybody that wanted a Battle Royale game already had Fortnite and PUBG mixed in with all of the other crappy Battle Royale games.
EA lacks any original creativity, they are so desperate for more money that they just throw any old crap out there these days.
I'm done with them, I haven't bought an EA game in years now and I don't see myself buying any of their games any time soon.
Hey EA, no it's just you!!!!
SP was vital, it's just EA stupidity that got'em this time
