Respawn’s Vince Zampella interview — Why you won’t see Titans in Apex Legends

Dean Takahashi played Respawn's Apex Legends last week and then interviewed the studio's CEO Vince Zampella about how the game together.

Titanfall not being about Titans is pretty shocking news since the entire premise and biggest selling point of the games are Titans. Heard nothing but negative reactions to this game which isn't surprising seeing it's Battle Royale.

I heard plenty of praise. It's a good game. But why would I want to play this over all the other Battle Royale games?

I've seen the good but it's from general Fortnite/Cod kids. Everything else has not been good, even articles about it aren't great such as this with the developers making terrible excuses as to why selling points of their games this is attached too aren't in the game or Respawn/EA being sketchy with the MTs. It's Battle Royale so it's far from good, the real question is why do you want to play Battle Royale at all?

I think its a genre that has great potential. I have yet to see something that appeals to me though. I have played Blackout,pubg and fortnite, but none kept me playing for long. Blackout is the best out of those tbh.

Sad thing is they'll probably make more money from this than they would have from Titanfall 3.

Yes, because the greedy industry still charges far too much for cosmetics putting off a majority of the playerbase.
