Review: Kingdom Hearts 3 is too much game for its own good | GameCrate

Kingdom Hearts 3 is a good game and an enjoyable experience, but it’s not the best Kingdom Hearts game in the franchise. There is plenty of room for improvement, and hopefully we will see that room explored if KH3 ever gets a final mix release.

I kinda get what he's trying to say, but then a review is just an opinion. Only thing I'd slightly agree on is the somewhat arbitrary nature of gaining abilities, in that you just...get them. They're not tied to any special event or moment, which is slightly disappointing. Would've been great if Sora learning to transform his keyblade was treated as a special event. Terra, Aqua and Ventus could all transform their keyblades into vehicles since they were keyblade masters, so it would've been nice to see more pomp placed on him learning that since he couldn't do it before. That might be just me, though.

Otherwise, I'm GLAD there's "too much" of this game. If there's one game I want there to be the kind of "too much" the reviewer speaks of, its KH3. If anything at all, I'm more annoyed that changing direction during the running animation resembles the movement of a speedometer needle* than anything else about the game.

I'm only 10 hours in, but I don't want it to end!

*the character model kind of "glides" into the direction you're pressing. I think what's missing is changes in animation to accommodate for slight banks to the left and right when moving at speed. Just looks odd at times. Of course, I say this as if implementing that would be oh so easy lol!

Just finished the game and yea Id agree with the score. The game seemed rushed to just finally complete the first arc and didnt really have as much depth compared to 2. Combat was just way too easy and the story barely moves until the near end. Huge disappointment BUT im just freaking glad the game finally released and concluded the crazy long confusiing story. About an 8.5 for me too.

This game is in no way 8.5, 6 at best. As a long time KH fan (main games), I really hate this game.

Judging by the dislikes, people are either in denial or giving it a free pass. What a shame........

The game doesn't compare to KH 2 at all. Even the combat has its faults. It's too easy, and feels more like a Dynasty Warriors game, rather then KH at most times. There weren't even any REAL Organisations fights to truly define the game mechanics either.

So you're saying that there's no way people should like this game? And that your opinion should be universal?(judging from your reply to the other commenter). Sorry, but I love this game, but that doesn't mean I'm giving it a free pass or am in denial.

It's just the truth, this game is unbelievably, half baked. I'm not saying what I say goes, but there should still be a general sense for quality.

The voice acting is bad, the writing, is bad, combat is unbalanced, and unrefined, the world's were small (twighlight town was 2 areas), There were less worlds compared to others, No final fantasy charecters (-_-), lack luster optional/ post game content, and plot holes out the ass. I'm not trying to find flaws, these are glaring issues. Most of which 2, a 14 year old game, didn't suffer from.

This game is a joke.
