So basically the PS4 Pro version is the most stable when ran at 1080p. However the One X version is right behind in terms of performance, but is doing it all at 1440p. Interesting.

1440p is a much higher resolution. Still not 4k though which is a bummer.I remember when I went to 1440p from 1080p like 4 years ago the jump was huge.

yeah I game primarily @ 1440p with my 1080ti. I'd rather get 100+ frames @ 1440p then getting 40-50 fps @ 4K

Why is it interesting? Isn't the Xbox One X more powerful, and costs more?

The base XB1 was more expensive than the base PS4 at launch. The Switch is more expensive than the PS4. Price doesn't mean everything.

We all know the One X is more powerful. But it's interesting to see at what level. With some games devs push for parity. Other studios push the hardware as best as they can. And these are the results. Pushing that many more pixels while still staying very close in terms of performance shows you how much headroom the One X has over the competition.

720p on Xbox One/S is ouch! Why can't Square optimize their games well? They should've had a 1080p option on both the Pro and X so that the framerate on both would stick close to 60fps. The stable mode is anything but stable. FF15 had these same issues. They need to do better.

I hadn’t played a sooo buttery smooth hame in years. I was wondering how the game performed on base consoles... PS4 pro plays this game like a dream

It’s not buttery smooth on any platform, although it’s closest on ps4 pro at 1080p... it’s still got bad frame pacing.
