In a video games industry that pumps tens of millions of dollars into projects, Ace Combat 7's developers at Bandai Namco Studios used a jpeg of a dog.
I hope they never change it lol
But it's such a cute dog.jpeg
They should really consider making a demo. This is a game that I really want to play but I'm not sure if I'm going to like it since there barely any flight games or at least good ones.
I would suggest trying one of the PS2 games either through a cheap used copy or emulation to find out if you like the series. The core gameplay is mostly unchanged from Ace Combat 4.
Buy it. Look at the dog. Just look at the dog!! How could you not want that in your life??
When I first played Ace Combat on ps2 I was actually surprised how much I liked a flight game, I never play flight games, but its really good. And this one looks preeeteeey awesome to me too
Get AC5 when it eventually launch on PSN it’s still the best AC5 after having played AC7. It’ll also be much cheaper too plus the HD gameplay really ups the value
That is hilarious!
This is...... art.
Quite crazy and kinda fun, but how the hell anyone watches the guy in that embedded video is beyond me, what an annoying voice and over reaction!
10/10 would fly with captain ruff
I knew there was something fishy about that dog when I saw it. First thing that came to my mind was "Wow they used a still image for a dog...funny"
best dog evaaaa!!! :D
how do you know its a jpeg? am I missing something? could be a png or a targa dog???
Dog of the year oh wait that's gonna be tlou pt2 dog.
Microsoft: "Xbox Scarlett is so powerful, it will natively upgrade the dog jpeg to a png!"
How dare they.
Why is the guy in the video overreacting like that?
Too much soy in his diet!
Lol Game delayed many times to get a JPEG dog in the game Cuz eff it
I heard it was delayed for months due to issues with getting the dog just right
So, is this now DogGate? Seems like a silly thing to call them out for. I doubt they were trying to pull the wool over anyone's eyes, and despite the industry being a billion dollar industry, it doesn't mean that tricks can't be done to achieve a result. Honest show of hands, who would rather they spend a few thousand dollars modeling and animating a in game dog for cut scenes, versus putting it into other parts of the game, like the planes.
Considering its pretty much a one shot use I see no issues with it
I'd like to say it won't be an issue, but I really have no faith in the community, or at least the media. I just thought this guy made too big a deal about it. Seems like such a silly thing to be concerned about.
This actually a lot more funnier than Insomnia's Spider-man #puddlegate controversy.
Much wow https://i.kym-cdn.com/entri...
At least Bandai actually acknowledged it lol
What does it mean Jpeg?
I don't see any problem at all. Haven't played it, but it's too negligible to call it a flaw.
