"Back in 2001, Capcom debuted a samurai themed action game that borrowed heavily from their Resident Evil franchise. It was a delightful change of pace that gamers loved and now; you can relive the magic with this new release of Onimusha: Warlords." - A.J. Maciejewski from Video Chums
Cultured Vultures: Capcom's epic samurai series Onimusha has been on hiatus for the better part of 15 years. We're asking if it'll ever come back.
Nope, and Capcom tested the waters with Onimusha HD and nobody bought it. So, yea, we effectively killed the Onimusha franchise by not buying the game.
Pass.
Ghost of Tsushima filled that void for me, and then some. I don't see Capcom reaching this level of quality for a single-player game.
"Let us celebrate one of Capcom's best franchises".
Onimusha was a great franchise. I wish they'd relaunch the franchise with a next gen entry. Until then though, I guess Sekiro is more than capable of filling the gap left by Onimusha.
Excellent game and I'm pissed we won't get a port of 2, 3, and Dawn of Dreams so I can get the platinum on them!
