I thought the argument was more about exclusives. I never question single player games as third party offerings are available.

I love how it opens with: "“The Xbox One doesn’t have any single-player games!” they say. Pfft!"
Then lists over 40 games, with only two of them being Xbox and PC only. Nobody ever said the Xbox doesn't have ANY Single Player games, they said it doesn't have any exclusive and first party critically acclaimed Single Player games.
Just like how the Xbox 'fanboys' over on Youtube keep saying PlayStation has no MP games - yes it does. The third parties more than fill that void, Sony steps in and fills the missing genre by populating the single player aspect you won't find anywhere else.
That's the difference. MS plays it safe and adds more MP games into the already saturated market when PS spots the missing gaps and fills them in.
