The NBA and 2K games have just announced a partnership extension lasting for seven years, and worth $1.1 billion for the NBA 2K franchise.
So does this mean 2K is going to shove even more V-Bucks into the game because they know they will be the only NBA game around now? Much like EA has done with NFL and Madden? So I guess EA can't make anymore NBA Live?
Don't think it's an exclusive deal
When I see "Partnership" I get the impression it's an exclusive deal, but I could be wrong.
I think they just extended their agreement to 7 years, whatever that may be, it's good for the NBA and for Take Two.
Maybe now they can fix the online servers, get it together man.
What about the NFL? Would like NFL to do the same.
Where my NFL 2K!!!!!
"we’re confident that we will continue to find new and innovative ways to captivate and engage basketball fans" That's funny.
I'm going to fight the urge next year and not buy 2K until they stop making the my player pay to win
That's the best way to go. I just wait for a new one to release, then buy the previous generation of 2K. The games plummet in price when a new version comes out. I've always just bought them at the "under $20" price mark.
If there was ever a series that needed to be GaaS
Sports games are worthless nowadays.
They stopped being worth it when they stopped having the Blitz, Hitz and Street games. Hell even the backyard games were a welcome change of pace.
ah-fuck - now everyone will have to pay for dribbles and 3 pointers
That's good and all but... we need NFL2K!!!
GTAV has drip feed DLC meaning they release 1 piece of the DLC per week, I'm sure they will find a way to implement that into 2K20
This franchise is garbage anymore, turned into Madden. L
NFL, or College Football or College basketball, or if we can get College Hoops 2K7 or 2K8 added to Xbox back compat and Xbox 1X enhanced, please? Come on, 2K, you can do it.
