Onimusha: Warlords: How To Enter The Dark Realm Guide

From PlayStation Universe: "Onimusha: Warlords has plenty of collectibles and secrets to find. Released originally on the PlayStation 2 this remastered is packed with collectibles to find, hidden weapons to acquire, and secret game modes to unlock. Finding and entering the Dark Realm is simple enough. Surviving it is a different beast. In order to access the Dark Realm you must find an old man that looks like he’s wrapped in a cocoon sliding down a web. You have to find him two times and on the third encounter he’ll welcome you to the Dark Realm."

Nope, and Capcom tested the waters with Onimusha HD and nobody bought it. So, yea, we effectively killed the Onimusha franchise by not buying the game.

MrSwankSinatra1086d ago

not true because i remember in that leaked capcom document of all their future projects "onimusha new work" was one of the titles listed.

blackblades1086d ago

Yeah that was a literal leak not a rumors leak. Guess people forgot about it.

VersusDMC1086d ago

The HD remake had a music problem due to the controversy with the original composer and replacing his music with meh music. Maybe that affected sales.

But an Onimusha game of the quality of recent capcom games (RE2,DMC5) would definitely be welcomed by everyone and the sales of Ghost of tsushima will hopefully push Capcom to give the franchise another try.

It wasn't a remake though, it was a remaster, and they could have done a better job on it, but it was good playing through it for old times sake.

Now, if they made a full remake, that would be awesome.

Redrex70001086d ago

they just put that game out there out of the blue
wish they did it for the other games

FlavorLav011086d ago (Edited 1086d ago )

We didn’t kill it by not picking up an old ass game with hardly any quality of life updates. That game was absolutely amazing for its time, but it’s capcom’s own fault for such a lame remaster. You want interest from old fans or new fans, you gotta come with something that doesn’t look and feel 3 generations old.

zarbor1086d ago

LOL....the reason we will not see another Onimusha game is not because they put out a dopey HD version of an antiquated game on current gen. The reason we will not see it is the same reason we have not seen a new Dino Crisis, Okami, Strider, Viewtiful Joe, Bionic Commando, etc. Its the same reason everytime.

CrimsonWing691085d ago (Edited 1085d ago )

Oh yea? Tell that to the Darkstalker fans then.

Same thing happened to Zone of the Enders 3.

Pass.

Ghost of Tsushima filled that void for me, and then some. I don't see Capcom reaching this level of quality for a single-player game.

FreeckyCake1086d ago

Ghost of Tsushima nor Nioh is nothing like the Onimusha franchise. Onimusha is unique compared to GOT.

MrSwankSinatra1086d ago

lmaoooo what? ghost of tsushima doesn't have anything in common with onimusha out of the character being a samurai lmaooooo

Godmars2901086d ago

How about remakes/reissues of the old ones?

Dirtnapstor1086d ago

We have. It's called Nioh. And it's glorious.

FlavorLav011086d ago (Edited 1086d ago )

Nioh gameplay - world class (10/10)
Nioh story telling - not so much (4/10)

MrSwankSinatra1086d ago

Nioh story is garbage tbh. plus i don't care for the characthers of that series unlike onimusha which had much better writing and characters.

Godmars2901086d ago

Onimusha's main characters, aside from 4, were all based on real actors.

Vithar1086d ago

damn that's cool :) haha never played Onimusha

Onimusha was a great franchise. I wish they'd relaunch the franchise with a next gen entry. Until then though, I guess Sekiro is more than capable of filling the gap left by Onimusha.

CrimsonWing691177d ago

Excellent game and I'm pissed we won't get a port of 2, 3, and Dawn of Dreams so I can get the platinum on them!
