Given the developer’s track record, we’re cautiously optimistic about the franchise’s future.
less microtransactions now maybe and paid dlcs
And add matchmaking for the raids. Used to play Destiny quite a bit but never actually had friends who played it so never got to try this part of either of the 2 games properly.
I hope so, still not sure how much Activision had its teeth sink in to Bungie when creating / developing the game, I mean really not think is Activisions fault that the game turned into a freaking huge boring grind fest all the time, right now Bungie Destiny 2 suffers from the old stuff and with new annoying things: * Story is pathetic dumb, yeah kill the best character in the whole damn game?, good job Bungie * Grind fest is worthless, the end rewards are mostly so useless * Returning old Weapons from Destiny 1 year one as new ?, dumb as hell, this isn't supposed to be a new game ? * No new guardian classes, heck in Destiny 2 you need to reactivate your old specials from Destiny 1. * They added a bow?, really a bow? * Raids still no damn matchmaking * All raids and rewards in D2 are so damn bad, they don't come close to the ones in D1 like the Vault of Glass * New weapons designs and armors designs are horrid! and useless, D1 were like years ahead in comparison of D2 * Sparrow and Ships absolutely almost nothing new added since Destiny 1 * Damn same recycle enemies over and over again, new types of enemies are almost none existent in D2. * oh and the main villians are cabals from D1 ?, and also they added a cute hamster faces design to all cabal , good job Bungie. There are so many more things wrong with D2 but I will ended with those few things, really not sure how Activision had to do with all that but lets see what Bungie can do by their own 100%.
I agree the only thing I can think of that Activation would be putting some sort of burden Micro transactions Dlc And time constraints to push a new game out. Otherwise I feel a lot of the other problems are just because of Bungie Yet that again may fall in time constraint
In the long run yes but there are a fair few hurdles along the way that Bungie will need to address. They had other Activision studios working on Destiny 2 (Vicarious Visions and High Moon Studios) plus I'm sure it's ActiBlizzard who host the PC servers. I'm sure overall in the future it will hopefully mean great things but I imagine it could potentially set their development plans back a little bit too.
Bungie is overrated. Activision is scum.
It sure as hell doesn't hurt, and it's enough that most people are very optimistic about it. I for one am anxious to see what happens, cause mechanically i LOVE the gameplay of Destiny, just not all the crap surrounding it.
If they release D3 as a $60 game they will crash and burn. After the terrible state of D1 and D2 people are not going to give them another chance with the economy the way it is. What they should do is take notes from Digital Extremes and Warframe on how to make a great free to play game and implement that model instead. If they can make a great experience that’s completely free with MTs that is optional then maybe they can muster in huge crowd of gamers who don’t want to risk their wallets and enjoy a great game. Eventually they will start buying cosmetics to support Bungie and that’s how they’ll make their money back
Destiny 1-2 with all the DLCs should have been one game, change my mind.
Couldnt get more worse, can it? I loved destiny 1. When 2 came out, I wouldn't even say slowly, but my love for it just started to die. the grind changed, so I was out. Saved myself a few shiny dabloons too, its all gravy.
Same team with maybe less money and exposure ? I don't think so.
