Attack of the Fanboy: Prior to its release on Nintendo Switch, New Super Mario Bros. Deluxe was generating a bit of controversy over what some players saw as a step back from the original Wii U title. In its shift to the Switch NSMBU added a few extra characters for players to choose from, with unique abilities that made for an easier overall experience. However, this seemed to make it so four player co-op games would be stuck in this “easy mode” style of gameplay.
