Top Ten Games of 1998

'Metal Gear Solid', 'StarCraft' and 'Baldur's Gate' are but a few of the triple-A titles that were released in one of the most influential and important years in the history of the gaming industry, 1998. But which one took the top spot?

All 3D zeldas have been trash,
a Link To the Past was the best zelda ever made and Minish Cap for GBA just proves Zelda is a 2d series when it goes 3D it becomes a garbage game.

Well I think Pokemon should be on that list. Red and Blue where just phenomenal. They started the whole craze. Everything about that game rocked. Should definitely be on that list.

My favorite year for gaming. I was loving rogue squadron and Ocarina of Time, and MGS. As usual though OoT comes out at the #1 spot, which isn't surprising and expected. Pretty much any list that didn't place that game as #1 for 1998 would be viewed as a failure.

I remember that year just because of XENOGEARS, the ultimate in-game story, if not one of the best fiction story in the world.

personally Half Life should be #1. HL sold more copies in year 3 than it did in year 1 of its release. that is absolutely obsurd.

i have never played OoT so i cant agree or disagree about how great it is. however it has gotten its due from credable sources and gamers everywhere. so i can deal with it being #1 on this list. HL should be in front of MGS.
