NVIDIA announced today at CES 2019 that it is implementing DLSS to help raise benchmarks. DLSS is known as Deep Learning Super Sampling which is a new rendering technique that can improve image quality and offers better temporal stability and image clarity in its anti-aliasing.
Today, during EA's conference call for investors and analysts, the publisher's executives talked about the future and the next generation of consoles.
I am all for another Battlefield in a few years time. DICE obviously needs their time to avoid another Battlefield V horror release.
"EA's E3 2019 press conference is over, and I honestly feel bad the people who hosted this presentation...And I feel equally bad for those who watched the show on site and from the comfort of their homes, and this is the reason why." - Justin Easler, TGG.
Battlefield, FIFA and Madden, these 3 games are at every E3. It's hard to stay interested when we see the same thing every year.
Player 2 looks at the hype cycle and how to best approach it. Is it with distrusting cynicism or hopeful excitement?
I have decided on complete cynicism in all forms of media / entertainment. With so much going the subvert expectations route or so much just sucking I dont really care anymore & Im gonna be extremely cautious & cynical about everything from here on out
I think real world tests have shown that full AA is better than DLSS, but it is VERY close. However, for how much performance gain you get while using it is worth the slight SLIGHT downgrade, so it is still wonderful tech
DLSS is just another technology designed to make sub-native resolutions more tolerable like checkerboard rendering or temporal injection. It improves performance because your GPU is rasterizing fewer pixels.
How about Nvidia does some thing to improve there trash tier pricing.
