Rob Pitt writes: Atelier Totori ~The Adventurer of Arland~ DX is the second game in the Arland collection. This is yet another rather minimalistic port of the PS3 and PS Vita ‘Plus’ version which debuted in Japan in 2012. As this game actually came out before the ‘Plus’ version of Atelier Rorona, the previous game, it feels less advanced and more cumbersome in certain areas.
Atelier Totori has an even stronger emphasis on its in-game timer this time around as it steps it up to the next level and doesn’t mess around with its requirements you need to meet. As such, my experience with this particular title isn’t as joyful or productive as the other two.
A humorous review that looks into the 2nd part of the trilogy.
Plenty of pictures and words that are worth a gander.

A few years after the events of Atelier Rorona, Rorona decides to travel the country in search of people to help, and perhaps some willing students to learn alchemy from her. During her search, Totori, a girl from the small country town Alanya, is the first (and only) one that gets it, and becomes her student. After Rorona heads off once again, Totori continues to study, and habitually continues to both learn and explode the atelier set up in her house.
"Gust's Atelier series offers plenty of lighthearted fun so let's see whether Totori or Meruru has the more worthwhile adventure." - A.J. Maciejewski from Video Chums
I enjoyed the story for Totori more but had more fun overall with Meruru. Love them both though.
I prefer Totori I was a bit boring and the only one that didn't hook me out of the 3 Plus versions I played though Totori was really rough on new players unlike Meruru
