Darren writes: "I’m not quite old enough to have headed out to the arcades to play games; thankfully I’ve always had the luxury of being able to play at home. Part of me wishes I could have been part of that community though, if only for the social aspect, something that is predominantly an online affair these days.
Thanks to the wonders of technology though a single disc can now squeeze in 14 of these arcade machines, and 36 home console releases, rather easily. It is here where we see the entrance of Atari Flashback Classics Volume 3 on Xbox One."
Rob Pitt writes: Riding on the nostalgia train, Atari and Code Mystics have released the third collection in their trip down memory lane, the Atari Flashback Classics Vol 3. Just like the previous two collections (which I own but haven’t reviewed), the collection contains 50 games for you to peruse and jump back in time as you turn on your imagination and pretend the squares on the screen are humans playing football, a spaceship flying through the galaxy, or a racecar.
The question is, who is this collection for?
"For $19.99 you can play all of the same games and not have another plastic device laying around your house. While some of the games in this collection didn’t interest or utterly confused me, I did enjoy a few of them. I’m not sure I would pay $20 for this collection, but it’s worth considering if it goes on sale."
Nice! My wife got me an original 2600 last year and 50 carts. I might have to pick this up to compare ;b
Found out that digital manuals are available from the main menu so I bumped up the score to 62%
