"2018 has been an excellent year for gaming in any genre. However, one game I liked the most is Marvel's Spider-Man which is out exclusively on the PS4." - JPS
A Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered multiplayer mod is in development by the community, and there's even early gameplay footage.
Insomniac Games' 2018 web-swinging adventure, Marvel's Spider-Man, has generated almost 4 billion US Dollars in revenue during its first year.
For those spreading lies here about Marvel making the most out of the deal...
The rate has tiers. 9% to 18% physical and 19% to 26% digital for the first 7 mil. So even if it's 26% for all versions it's not that much. Considering all platform holders charge 30%. And just like 30% is how much Sony is getting from call of duty.
Now let's think about how much money Microsoft is making off Indiana Jones on PS5 and steam since there is a platform cut of 30% plus the disney cut...ouch. 😏
Can someone explain me the math here. 20 million copies x $60 = $1.2 billion max (assuming every copy was sold at $60 which it possibly couldn't).
Even Gta5/RDR2 didn't generate this much revenue in their first year even though they sold much more. Something is off here with this revenue calculation.
Rocket League's Halloween Event, Haunted Hallows, makes a return with a Marvel's Spider-Man makeover, returning modes, and a new map.
Spiderman is getting a lot of worthy praise. It's one of the best superhero games hands down but I still think it falls victim to the repetitive nature/tropes of many open world games. Despite that, the main stories and characters are very well done. . Anyone who knows Spiderman and his foes knows how the main protagonist will turn out but the process was laid out it such a way it felt quite natural. The combat was tight as well as the web slinging. Well done to all parties involved. A sequel will be highly anticipated
