I feel like a genius because I can do it without any guides. Just aim where the head is. It's usually connected to the neck which is in the upper part of the body. Now you know.

The aiming is pretty piss poor in RDR2. Not as good as in the original RDR imo. Unless you use dead eye of course. RDR2's aiming is so wobbly. It won't center. It's like the character has parkinsons.

This must be the first time this mentions this...also concerning the "virtually unplayable" part, explain to me how majority of people managed to played the game without problem while NOT using the lock-on thru the majority of the game?

It's another thing if you skill as a player is not high enough to play it without the lock-on (tho you are just making things harder for yourself like that), but please don't make a statement like that, which presents the whole thing as a "known issue" like RDR 2 case. Many people were quite vocal about it in RDR 2 case cuz IT IS a genuine issue, but i am yet to see a single person (besides you ofc) to say anything about "game being virtually unplayable without lock-on".

As far as i have seen people actually prefer NOT to use the lock-on since it restricts the camera in heavy combat situations.

While I hate answering a question with another question I need to ask, did you conduct some sort of survey? How in the hell did you conclude such definite statistics? PLEASE show me a video of someone beating the Eir valkyrie, or any significant boss without using lock on, I would love to see this. Distance attacks with the axe and dodging almost completely require it. Not a bad thing at all but spare me your laughable 'facts' as if you have a point here.

Aim assist is not a 'known issue' at all, it is a straw grasping strap-on insult people use to downplay a fantastic game. Virtually every sandbox game uses it, and it only became an issue here because people couldn't compose genuine criticism so they fabricated complete nonsense. I would also love to see you get through a bounty hunter attack in RDR 2 without aim assist, or any other shootout without a decent place to take cover. You have nothing here.

Here is my video, where i fight the most difficult Valkyrie Sigrun (which has the move-sets of Eir and other Valkyries only on higher level of difficulty) on highest difficulty (Give me God of War NG+) with semi-ok gear WITHOUT using the lock on.

I played thru the whole game using free-aiming with aim-assist set to zero (note aim-assist and lock-on mode are two completely different things) and yes i survived even the highest level bounty-hunters.

Fair enough, that video was badass i wont even attempt contesting that. Whether or not that was actually you playing changes nothing, that was a damn impressive fight. While Sigrun was a much easier fight to me than Eir, with combat that moves that fast it takes some serious skill to manually aim like that. While I never claimed it impossible I definitely implied it.

As far as RDR 2 goes I have definitely seen countless insults with 'the game is boring' and 'ridiculous aim assist' tethered together as somewhat synonymous. I'm just sick of the retarded criticism of this game when this is the first rockstar game I've played with characters and storytelling that had any substance to it. Is that just my opinion? Yes. I have no problem with GOW getting GOTY, there are certainly valid points to give it that crown. I simply heavily disagree that the aim assist ruined RDR, or that a slow-burn plotline deems it 'boring'. An absolutely fantastic campaign if you ask me.
