I went to a tech shop 2 days ago to get something completely different and I saw they had astrobot demo.. I have never seen something like it before, so I left the shop with psvr as well.. I was so wow'ed by the immersion,comfort and precision of gameplay.
Came home, downloaded all psvr stuff I got through ps+ including demos... I tried Moss the day after, I was soooooo amazed by that game.. Tech is really on point I didn't know this cheap priced headset was capable of wowing a gamer veteran like myself.. Felt like the first time I saw sonic 1 or zelda 64 running... Cannot describe the feeling but it was the exact same!!!!!

Please guys, if u know some great software, I'm listening.

Cant play Astro as i have a Rift but i do have Moss & its just wonderful. You fall in love with the mouse the instant you see her in VR. VR is totally amazing, cant understand all the negative comments about it. Not a single day has passed that i havent played in VR since i bought the Rift last year.

Agreed and it's not just the games, I use it alot on YouTube vr videos also, highly recommend the godzilla short story. My friends just done his 300th skydive and he's done his last one in 4kvr, he said the file size is massive lol

I was actually one of these, until I tried it... I didn't think it had killer apps, AAA titles and support in general...

We'll I can now tell that every demo/game I tried is a killer app.. The immersion in itself is a killer app.. Moss, Astrobot are icing on the cake.

Start with the vr worlds demos first to help you adjust. I personally started with the the deep underwater demo, just stand up look around to start with plus it's a great little 30mins experience. Good luck with resident evil, I've yet to finish it it in vr (so scary)

Both are great games but play Moss first... There's no going back after you've played Astro Bot. It IS INCREDIBLE!

IT'S SOOOOO GOOD! LOL!

Last night I was going to play an hour or so of Skyrim but instead, went ahead and bought Gun Club. "I'll just play for an hour to get a feel for it, then go to sleep."

6:30AM rolls around. I was like, "D@mn this is fun!" I love shooting gallery games and just recently bought In Death and the also fun Space Pirate Trainer. Still wish the developers of Lethal would have added more content to it. But Gun Club fits the bill.

Especially with the manual loading of guns. Which is why I liked that cheap $10 Dark Legion. Only negative being two handed weapons. Those leds were wearing on me. I like the moves controllers but boy when it works against you, it works against you unless you raise the camera.

Anyway, PSVR keeps winning me over with every new, good release that proves VR is not a gimmick. Can't wait for Ace Combat 7 and Sairento in Jan and Feb. 2019 is going to start strong. I don't mind the PC ports as long as they keep porting the good ones.

Calling it just an accessory doesn't quite accurately reflect what vr is. It's more like a console in that its games are wholly unique to it.

It plays PS4 games through a PS4. It's entirely reliant on a PS4, no different from the PS Move. I'm not saying PSVR is bad or anything, it just isn't a console.

It's a platform for use on ps4. An accessory suggest that it's more optional to use, whereas a platform is unique to its own software.

Got the Moss and Astro Bot bundle for Christmas. Best word to describe them is Magical. Haven’t felt this way since first seeing MARIO in 3D on the N64. This really is the future

Astro Bot, in my opinion, is the true game of the year for 2018. It's just sad that not a lot of people will experience it. That game is the future before our eyes.

Is Moss really that good? I've thought about getting it for my Oculus Rift. I thought it looked alright but never paid much attention. I've heard some good things though.

Yes, it's like Uncharted and Zelda rolled up in a Studio Ghibli coating and action puzzle platformer whimsical wonder. Game is shorter, being around 4 hours but has good trophy/achievement replay and it's just so good. I have the platinum trophy for PS4 and it's a 9/10 easily.

It depends on what you like but it is a decent puzzler/platformer. The biggest knock on it is that it was a bit short in my opinion. I got over 10 hours out of it though because I would spend time to just look around at the beautiful environments. I suppose you could blast through it in 4 hours if you just rush.

Yep it's hard to describe your 1st experience in vr. Mine was deep sea demo, I was like wtf (kicked my chin off the coffee table at the shark bit lol)
Plus it gave my mum a experience with swimming with dolphins on YouTube in vr, she's scared of swimming but loves dolphins so my mum loved it also.
Resident evil is on another level from immersion perspective

They want to play VR. And they always are left amazed.

This was how it was when I showed people F Zero and Super Mario World on my snes in 1992.

Got starter mega pack on Christmas. Already played Skyrim, Wipeout, Moss, Astro Boys, Windlands, Doom VFR and Beat Saber. Beat Saber is the winner and a must have for VR. It is sooo gooood and sooo addicting. Crazy.

Yes but a word of caution Firewall is online MP only, no campaign, so when there is no one playing this the game is worthless. That is the biggest flaw is that anyone without a top end internet connection is left out.

I have a 100mb internet connection and ive never had any problems. Im not sure about others with lower speeds though.

That is good for you but not everyone is as lucky. Even those that are many just don't care for MP shooters. Since this game is multiplayer ONLY it should be noted for those expecting a campaign or expect to play it offline.

You might want to jump in now because rumors of PS5 release are just that, rumors. It might not get here as soon as predicted. Also, PSVR2 might not come out at the same time as the PS5 (i dont think Sony would want to detract attention from PS5 by also introducing the PSVR2 at same time). In the meantime there is a lot of great VR gaming that shouldnt be missed. I really believe this generation isnt fully enjoyed if a person never jumps into VR. Games like Firewall blew me away. So im super excited for whats coming next gen, but that dont mean you should keep waiting for whats next. I say enjoy whats available right now.

PSVR is already "good enough". Sure more rez and detail is nice but it is not so bad as to be a show stopper. It is surprisingly good for a console (I would suggest PS4 pro though) and if the PS5 is BC hopefully all PSVR games will still work, and maybe get a res bump automatically.

I had the same issue when I started playing VR last year. I recommend play short period of time, 20-30 mins. And take long breaks. Then play again. You will noticed that you start playing longer and longer. Soon, your sickness will gone.

The first time I used PSVR I felt like i was going to launch my lunch. Almost everyone will feel sick/dizzy at first. You have to use comfort settings and then slowly wean off of them (or just tough it out). After a while you will feel less and less dizzy and finally be fine with it. It takes time for your brain to wire for it. It is called getting your "VR legs". Don't think of it as a negative, just think of it as a right of passage into the world of VR.

I don't have a good place to store it since my ps4 is in the living room, so I do what I can, but your right, it's untidy. I'll disconnect it when in have important company coming over just to keep things looking neat.

I bought one kid a PSVR for christmas after buying myself another, my friend bought his kid another, my cousin came over and saw mine and bought one as soon as he got home. It's starting to take off. Everyone that tries it loves it. My entire family was all over it.

I've been gaming for 40 years I don't need VR when I find it nauseating sometimes including most titles for VR are not AAA titles. Playing on a tv screen in a relaxing setting will always be my way to game.

Flat screen games are so lame though. In VR you are IN the game not watching it on TV. The thing lost on a TV is sense of scale not just 3D. When a monster attacks in VR and it looks bigger than you as it would in real life is much better than seeing a 10" "sprite" on a TV. Seeing a dragon in Skyrim in VR looks huge. I still play some flatscreen games at times but VR is a great option. Having the Pro is a good start as PSVR looks best on the Pro.

As far as nausea it is common at first, that goes away the longer you do VR.

I had PSVR on launch, sold it since I needed cash when I bought a appartment. Yesterday I ordered a PSVR (V2 version), with VR Worlds, camera and Astro Bot for £165.

Plus I downloaded Moss, Raw Data, Thumper, Bound, Dying Reborn VR and Resident Evil 7. So im ready for some VR action again! Future purchases is gonna be Tetris Effect, Beat Saber, Rez Infinite, Killing Floor Incursion and BattleZone.

Playstation VR is a great device to company with standard PS4, Slim or PS4 Pro

PSVR has been amazing! Definitely a great option if you don't have the PC specs to run a Rift or Vive.

If anyone is looking for a very solid team based shooter, I highly recommend getting Firewall Zero Hour, but make sure you get the VR gun peripheral. I'm really looking forward to PSVR2 because the tracking and controllers need work, but all and all it's a fantastic option.

Yeah but Firewall is online MP only. It is good if you like online MP shooters but unuseable offline and has no campaign. If you don't have top notch internet or like just playing offline, don't buy it.

Now is the best time to jump into VR, the bundle prices are just insanely cheap and the library of PSVR games are the best in the industry. Astrobot, Firewall ZH, Resident Evil 7, Red Matter, Moss, Wipeout, Borderlands 2 and the list goes on and on

I got the PSVR last year and I could barely play it due to motion sickness (not he PSVR fault). I would play for 20-30mins and get really nauseous and have to lie down and rest. After a few months, I got over the motion sickness and now enjoying this thing.
