These are GamingBolt’s top 10 role playing games of 2018.
AC:O beat out DQ11? Lol, gimme a break.
AC:O is a better RPG than Dragon Quest 11, Octopath Traveler and The Banner Saga 3... I can't even find words to express how startled I am...
No Divinity II?
It's Dragon Quest XI...or it should be at least
Dragon Quest XI
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but this sounds like they arent really rpg fans.
Divinity original sin 2 should have been on the list. I know it came out in 2017 for pc, but dragon quest xi also came out on 2017 in japan. Also, is assassins creed an RPG now?
we could get technical and call AC an RPG I suppose but yeah... to me and I'd imagine most other gamers AC is an Action game w/ RPG elements. Just because a lot of genres and games have added RPG elements and mechanics does not mean we should start labeling them as such. They are still Action games, Shooters, Baseball games, Basketball games, etc. Since Tomb Raider has exp and a skill tree should we also label that an RPG? Divinity Original Sin 2 should definitely be an any true best RPG of '19 list. Honestly after seeing some comments I didn't even bother checking out their list. Anyone who puts AC on an RPG list doesn't deserve a click imho.
Don't be ridiculous, DOS2 is 2017 game, there is no reason to include it in 2018 lists. Otherwise every stand out game of 2017 should be in 2018 lists, sounds good?
I noted that, dumbass. It came out for pc in 2017. But DQXI was included in this list and it came out in Japan in 2017. So where is your argument there?
That seems to be a special case considering this is not a japanese site who made the list. Exceptions don't make the rule. Otherwise like I said, they'd have to include all 2017 games.
My god Banner Saga 3 was such a disappointment story-wise...
