A decent company wouldn't actively try to rip off their customer base.

Crazyglues1948d ago

Yeah this is the biggest rip off in gaming, the game is clearly poorly done and is a DLC pack for fallout 4, this is far from a real full retail Triple A game, they just copied and past assets from Fallout 4... It's on the level of a DLC pack..

-Which is just sad that they think the customer base is so stupid they won't be able to tell the difference between a well designed game and basic DLC upgrade to an existing game. (it has some of the same bugs that are in Fallout 4 for crying out loud) it's the same engine..

Hell a PC modder could have done a better job at making this game... Complete Outrage.. The worst part is the complete silence from Bethesda Studios, they know the game is trash.. (At least own it, and come out and explain what went wrong) Their silence, has made me lose all respect for this company..

Bethesda seems to be trying to join the ranks of Activision and EA as wildly hated companies. They really need to stick the landing on Doom Eternal, Starfield, and TES6.

The canvas bag scandal shows how far they will go with their false marketing. If it wasn’t for the threat of a lawsuit they would have never agreed to send the bags.

Phoenix761948d ago

Fallout 76 issues so far include a botched Beta running a mere few hours a day till release, aged game engine which should of been retired after fallout 4, lies concerning how much more graphical improvements had been done (16x the detail my arse), lack of in game story content (stripped back for MP), duffle bag controversy, personal details leaked online for the world to see), cheap offering of 500 atoms compensation which will barely get you a hat in-game, 4-6 months waiting for replacement bag for CE, emote png. @2000 atoms! (in a sale when product was put up on store @ a pre inflated price mark up and a launcher which locks you out of account if you use mods (Bethesda said the modding community would be able to use but obviously can not).

As Angry Joe would say......... "YOU F@#*ED IT!"

Embracer CEO Lars Wingefors: "I deserve a lot of criticism."

Embracer CEO demonstrates a masterclass in mental gymnastics in latest interview.
"I'm sure I deserve a lot of criticism, but I don't think my team or companies deserve all the criticism. I could take a lot of that blame myself. But ultimately I need to believe in the mission," he said.

Microsoft should have left them stay 3rd party

GamerRN11h ago

If they are let go, they can be whatever they want. They ARE 3rd party now... 🤦

Barlos8h ago

Yeah, they're also jobless.

GamerRN1h ago

They can form a company if they want, they are just as jobless as if "Microsoft had left them as 3rd party".

"MIcrosoft leaves Bethesda do what they know how to do best" ... close! Oh the irony ....
(Citation from a week old article)

PassNextquestion13h ago(Edited 13h ago)

Bethesda France was made up of roughly 15 people... they couldn't of being doing much

Bethesda France mainly did publishing and marketing within the region

blacktiger11h ago

that's a shame for you to say that, i'm sure Elite loves hearing what you just said.

Profchaos13h ago(Edited 13h ago)

Bethesda France focused on publishing and marketing in the region. And 15 people lost their jobs as part of the closure.

I wonder if this is part of Microsoft's strategy to abandoned physical media or possibly gamepass advertising makes their roles redundant you don't need to market a game as hard when the majority of players get the game as part of a sub which already promoted upcoming games

Tacoboto12h ago

It's France too, there's a high likelihood only 1-2 people on the team even had an Xbox.

Profchaos12h ago

Possibly guven all the leaks we know the Xbox brand is really struggling in the region.

Yi-Long9h ago

Well, if your consoles and games are barely found in any stores any more, of course you're gonna struggle finding consumers ...

XiNatsuDragnel12h ago

Tbh Microsoft I think Bethesda being 3rd party same with Activision would probably more competitive than thus scenario imo

Profchaos10h ago(Edited 10h ago)

I think it would have been better for all parties really especially gamers

TheColbertinator11h ago

The recently purchased Activision French offices might take over all the licensing and marketing for Microsoft in France from now on.

I’m Glad Atlus & SE Changed Dates To Avoid Competing With Shadow Of The Erdtree

Saad from eXputer: "I'm glad I don't have to choose between Square Enix, Atlus, and FromSoftware due to bad release windows and Shadow of the Erdtree."

H91d 7h ago

More intelligent than guerilla games

raWfodog13h ago(Edited 13h ago)

Atlus is releasing their game one week before Erdtree, SE is releasing theirs one week after.

HZD released four days before Zelda, HFW released one week before Elden Ring.

It seems to me like they are still releasing their games too close to Erdtree.
