I'm at the point where I"m asking myself if this is even a real thing. It seems more like a publicity stunt. If he were actually selling these, surely his lawyers would inform him of the lifetime in prison for the copyright violations....each one with a potential 100,000 fine, or up to 20 years in prison.

Hell, did he never read those FBI Warnings at the beginning of movies for the past 40 years?

Has anyone actually seen one of these things out in the wild? First I thought he was just licensing his name for the device and it was just some Chinese knock off, but I know this guy can't be that stupid. I mean he could be I suppose, but he has money, or would if he can release a branded video game system, and he wouldn't do that without at least talking to one lawyer.

Even if the product isn't real, he can get slapped hard with copyright violations just for using trademarked IP's without permission. While a bit of it would likely just result in a cease and desist letter, something this egregious would bring criminal charges against it. It would circumvent civil court, and it would only take one of those trademark holders complaints to be slapped with infringement for every violation he presents here.

He may be dumb, but his lawyers aren't. His financial advisers also aren't dumb. You don't make as much money as he does without having both of those things. You can't even release a product of this scope without the use of lawyers nowadays, as there is no way he'd be able to manage the distribution or production on his own. Even if he made a company to do such things, no hardware manufacturer is going to make anything for him, and certainly not the people who design the hardware. Sure, he may just be selling an off the shelf, rebranded piece of sh*t from China, but what he is seemingly doing is a rather large scale project.

Which leads me to believe this is all a hoax. Likely for publicity. He'll probably come out and say that it was all a hoax, and laugh about how stupid people are. People will agree with him, because people like to feel like they are superior, and not just as uninformed as others.

If what I believe is true, it still means he's dumb as a brick, because what he's doing is maligning actual trademarked and copyrighted material, regardless of if it gets release. Publicity stunt or no, it's still copyright infringement to use even the titles in the manner he's using them. A single complaint to the FBI...assuming he lives in the US....will bring much more than lawsuits against him. This may even be happening already, as law enforcement may take time to build a case, and while that's happening, the complaintants are told to not say anything publicly. He has hundreds of developers and publishers copyrights listed on these things. Someone is going to complain. You know Sony and Nintendo would never allow for this to ever see the light of day, and they have enough weight to even kill it in China, since it's not some hidden in a store type of deal. China may ignore shit like this, but there is still a lot of money to be made off Sony and Nintendo, and the knock offs will make them money without them being hyped up like this.
