From IGN: "Following Yakuza series creator Toshihiro Nagoshi and No More Heroes creator Goichi Suda, popularly known as "Suda51," Capcom veteran Hiroyuki Kobayashi announced his move to NetEase Games back in August this year. Today, NetEase revealed Kobayashi's new studio as GPTRACK50, located in Osaka. At Capcom, Kobayashi worked as the producer on the Resident Evil series as well as Devil May Cry.
“I was at Capcom for 27 years. During my time, the company became a lot bigger and a lot of new staff came in,” Kobayashi told IGN in an exclusive interview.
“I worked on a wide array of titles at Capcom, but I wanted a new challenge,” he explained. “Of course, it’s not like Capcom didn’t allow me to try out new things, but now that the company is a lot bigger, things are different from the way they were when I joined the company as a freshman back in 1995. Everything now needs to be approved and things just take more time to get greenlit. I’m the kind of creator that wants to be able to deliver a new experience while it still feels fresh, and I had been thinking of creating my own studio to make that possible.”"
You read my mind . That was the first though I had . So many deaths reported in last couple years . Pleasantly surprised !
NetEase owns his studio is the only bad news but only time will tell what comes of it . If it’s not on PS or Switch I don’t care . If it’s mobile I care even less!

I’ve always heard his games have repetitive portions. I appreciate unique and creative games, but repetition dilutes even the greatest games (ie Arkham Asylum).
Shadows of the damned was pretty wild. That and lollipop chainsaw are the only ones ive played but I’d give it to SoTD.

first time? I've been struggling with a backlog ever since I got my PS4 in 2013. I'm almost embarassed at how many PS4/Switch games I have yet to play.
Same here, I have recently resolved to stop worrying about trophies, in fact I have turned off the notifications as I did quite like earning a Platinum Trophy for my most favourite games (I have 68 at present). I decided that I would rather see more games than grind out platinum trophies (which usually involves busy work rather than being an enjoyable experience).
I am hoping this will give me more time to knock games off the old backlog.
For this reason I never cared about trophies. Gaming is fun for me and shouldn't be a chore, which is wt most of those challenges require.
But I guess for some people the fun is in collecting them. For me I just want to see the story most of the time.
I prefer a huge backlog to no games at all to play tbh lol I've made peace with never catching up. I play wts fun for as long as it remains fun for me and move on and I'm completely happy doing that as long as I enjoyed it enough.
Do I leave games unfinished ? Yes, a crap ton lol
