Red Matter should be on this list.

PSVR had a great year. Those worried about year 1,had their fears melted away with quality title after quality title in year 2. Article only scratches the surface of what came out.

And year 3 looks to compete and possibly outdo both year 1 and 2. Without posting a very long list, I'll just post a video to give others a snippet of what's to come. With In Death being the 1 game in the the video that has already released and had great reviews.

PSVR is smashing it. And now it's clobbering time. Bring on 2019.

How are Beat saber, Moss, and Tetris Effect?

thorstein2335d ago (Edited 2335d ago )

Moss. I loved it because it is a bit different than all of the 1st person stuff. I was playing this beautiful game when I had to stand up to stretch my back.

Holy crap did that change the game for me. Leaning forward and looking at the puzzles let me see things. I had to replay it just to see all the things I had missed. Love it.

I have PSVR and Rift, but only own/play Beat Saber on Rift and -there- it is excellent. I specify in this case only because the mods are what really make the game - the mechanics of the game are great, but there is a limited number of official songs. With mods, it is essentially infinite thanks to community maps. Some free official song updates are in the works, as are track packs, so there might be enough content in the pipeline to make it worth it on the PS4. But as it stands now, PS4 users as paying a bit more ($19.99 on PC) and getting quite a bit less (ONLY IF YOU MOD - but that is a significant value if you do).

Moss I've also played, though not a ton yet. It seems pretty great so far, but it is a fairly straightforward little 3D platformer. I really enjoy it, and can recommend it at the right price (I wouldn't be fully satisfied at $30, but that's personal preference). It is a fun game, the environments are excellent, and VR really does add an extra dimension to the proceedings.

I haven't played Tetris Effect, but the rapturous reviews definitely make me want to check it out. I'm sure after my comments struggling to justify full price for Moss, that you'll be shocked to hear that I just can't bring myself to spend $40 on Tetris Effect lol. I'd be much more likely to bite at $20. While my funds are currently tight, I'm a deal-seeker regardless of that & price is a factor in every purchase I make, so definitely keep that in mind when I say that :-).

I was able to get Astro Bot for that during Black Friday, and am looking forward to firing that up in the next couple days. I wish Firewall had single player - I'm not a huge fan of competitive shooters, and VR populations for VR games tend to fall off faster than their pancake counterparts. I LOVED SuperHot, but it took me a bit to get there. Definitely felt like the amount of content/breadth of mechanics lacked in comparison to its desktop counterpart, but I ultimately got over it and really enjoyed it for what it was. Played a ton of it!

If you do play Tetris Effect, let us know! I always love to hear what others have to say about their experiences.

I will. I’m planning on Tetris effect. It will be in two months time though, unfortunately, because I’m studying for a exam right now. Befriended you.

Edit: Couldn’t befriend you, can’t find where it is.

finally!, being waiting for this game since its announcement some years ago, so many objects on screen using physics running at 60 fps is always mesmerizing to see.

Played the demo on PSVR2 - it's trippy as hell!

Knushwood Butt750d ago (Edited 750d ago )

Awesome. I had this on my PS wishlist and was going to buy it Day 1. Seen as I have Extra, now I don't need to!
PSVR2 support too.

Abnor_Mal750d ago

Platformers are not really my thing, but I guess I can try it out on PlusExtra. In VR2 to boot.
