From GameWatcher: "The Outer Worlds is Obsidian's next RPG, and it's pretty much a given that the expectations are atmospherically high at this point. According to a recent interview, stifling them in some regards might be necessary, however.
According to Obsidian, players will not have the option to romance companions in The Outer Worlds, though they will be able to take more than one of them along for the ride at the same time."
The Outer Worlds could distinguish itself from other Obsidian IPs by going in the opposite direction as Avowed and the Pillars of Eternity series.

Does anyone really care about this? I’d imagine most people do it once just to see what happens. Is it really worth the time and effort to create an entire system around romance options? I think focusing on companion buffs is a good call.
Okay that's fine
Good we don't need romance option in games when they are done so poorly anyway
Oh I guess the media is going to go ahead and make this an upward battle for the company. :/
Seems like no one wants to be happy and has to ruin everything
Good I want to be focused on playing a game not who I sleep with in a virtual world.
