DQ11 is much better than Octopath and it’s not close. I like Octopath it’s fun and all but DQ11 is better in every way. Also Tales of Berseria should be on here

Tales of Berseria came out last year.
I do agree with you on DQXI though. I liked Octopath, but the story was lacking.

DQXI has one major flaw imo ....its music ...has incredibly annoying ,repetitive and uninspired music

DQXI music is so bad i played half game on mute so my family wouldnt hear what i was playing i felt embarrassed

Well, you do know it's a Square Enix title right? The game is good except for the lack of character interaction between the eight leads which was odd design/ narrative choice

That's an unverifiable assumption, and the game isn't even a Nintendo game anyway.

DQ11 was fantastic. Wasn't even expecting to like it that much, but after 150 hours, it's one of my favorite games of the year.

This was my first DQ entry, I also didn't like the music, I didn't mind some of the overworld pieces, but the battle music was like some kind of cartoon network Intro show repeating itself over & over (My opinion)

I'd put Dragon Quest XI as number 1. Octopath at number 2. Valkyria Chronicles 4 is excellent too though. Haven't played Ni No Kuni 2.

sorry, but ni no kuni 2 was the biggest letdown this year. did not click the article but it seems this blogger just listed random rpgs abd labelled them very wrongly. to name this game in the same sentence as dq11 reeeks of utter cluelessness or carelessness.

Opinion. I can't get into DQXI. Awful music, repetitive samey combat, no diversity to the gameplay experience, and the story is... your average JRPG story. Ni No Kuni 2 was far more enjoyable to me. But hey, I've only been gaming for 25 years.

Xenoblade Torna & Octopath.
VC4 was great as well.
Yet to get my hands on DQXI. I am a big DQ series fan. Just not gotten around to it yet. I usually prefer my DQ games portable so curious to see if they show the Switch version this month as they promised. If it looks really bad, I will opt for the PS4 version.
