Art director shares concept art from a cancelled 2013 Silent Hill project

Eurogamer: "Yes, it's been almost twenty years, and yes, we're still banging on about Silent Hill 2, but we're still learning new things about the seminal psychological horror game. This time, art director and creature designer, Masahiro Ito, has made a startling revelation about one of gaming's most terrifying antagonists: Pyramid Head's head is not the helmet itself."

Makes me dislike Konami more and more, Silent HIll will go down as the SCARIEST video game I have ever played. Lord have mercy I still get goosebumps today when I see snow at night...(chills....) Talk about a company that dropped the ball.

The imagery of the nightmare environments from silent hill, especially silent hill 4, will forever remain. True psychological horror as almost none of their games relied on jump scares.

you said it best, that development team KNOWS the art of fear and how to actually create a game where they can appeal to your inner kid who is afraid of the boogey man because the lights are off....(runs away and hides)....SCREW YOU BOGGIE man aka Pyramid Head.

I could even deal with a mediocre silent hill at this point. Even better I’m sure they could put together most of team silent for one last hurrah. Either way we need a new game

I completely agree with you, it just sucks that Konami still has the rights to it. I wish they would sell it to another company so they can continue the franchise.

For Konami to release the numbers i assume it means it's a success. They better let bloober team make more silent hill remakes or a new silent hill.

Still need to buy it. Want to buy new, physical, but can't really justify it right now.
