No MTs has unfortunately been my most requested feature at the end of this generation.

NecrumOddBoy2391d ago

Having to put MICROTRANSACTION FREE on the box is both a joke and disgusting truth with publishers this gen destroying our medium from the inside out.

Goldenhawk5212391d ago (Edited 2391d ago )

What box?

Goldenhawk5212391d ago

I like how everybody just flocks to the downvote button rather than answering my question. What a snobbish community.

No Way2390d ago

I imagine he means the game box.. the one that holds the cd.

Goldenhawk5212389d ago (Edited 2389d ago )

But they never said that it wuld be put on the box.

They've ruined game progression systems making them less fun to play. Season passes have ruined the idea of buying a complete game at full price. Releasing broken and unfinished games because they feel it's fine to charge gamers full price in that state and patch it over time. Seems like graphics are getting better while everything else goes to shit

Havesum

Do what I started going wait 6-12 months before buying a newly released game

1. By the time you buy it game has been patches using community feedback God better overall experience

2. Game may get a complete edition with all the dlc

Save money play better

EazyC2391d ago

It has genuinely gotten to a point now where MTs and games-as-service are by far the biggest threat to gaming. Indie games will be all that's left after these monolithic titles from the big devs that are completely run by the MT-model

UltraNova2390d ago

Meanwhile this is Obsidian's last pro-gamer game. MS's MT/GaaS-loving suits are taking over immediatly after.

ajax172390d ago

At least some game developers are listening, though.

Well, I’m glad to hear it. The way I see it, I already sold.

EazyC2391d ago

Hopefully (provided it delivers, which I'm sure it will) other greedy corps will see that gamers redspond to great quality, MT-free, single player experiences.

neutralgamer19922390d ago

Eazy

No they won't because we are talking about billions. Half of the money Activision made last year came from MT

BTW the made over 7.6 billion overall so if you or I think Activision or Ea who made 1.2 billion from ultimate team will stop than we are both wrong

Did you not see actual gamers comments defending ubi over slow profession and boosters. We are the problems

Fanboys of each game are their own worst enemies by defending these greedy publishes

spicelicka2391d ago

this game keeps hitting the right marks

Hardiman2391d ago

It's a shame it has to be stated that there won't be MT's in a game, just to let you know that trash won't be in it. It's great though and I'm so thankful there's been so much blowback on these terrible practices!

Ristul2391d ago

If this game is good I might have to grab a xbox one 2 just to continue support for Obsidian, unless they keep releasing on pc.

Ausbo2391d ago

They will release on PC and Xbox going forward. Obsidian has always been a heavy PC developer

Gh05t2391d ago

I can't imagine them not continuing to release titles on PC. Even with the aquisition MS needs to shore up some good games on PC to incentivise people using their storefront. It makes me gag to think of using MS store to buy games though. Steam has ruined me and I want my storefront to be about quality software rather than looking like they sell cheap apps. It's really just an image issue it's not like it's any different but I hate the MS store.

ocelot072390d ago

This game is also releasing on PS4. I know Microsoft recently purchased Obsidian but the game was announced for PS4 as well if you have one already.

Eldyraen2390d ago

True, but if they make a sequel it will probably be Xbox and pc only. The same for any other game they make in the future.
