Games Asylum: "The original Energy Cycle gained a reputation within the trophy collecting community for being one of the fastest ways to bag a shiny platinum trophy, albeit by using one of the many video guides available online. Xbox One owners were belatedly treated to the same effortless experience too. The appeal of a sneaky gamerscore/silverware boost shouldn’t be underestimated, as the low budget puzzler seemingly sold well enough to warrant this sequel."
TechRaptor writes, "In the TechRaptor Energy Cycle Edge review, we see if Sometimes You is able to evolve the game with this sequel or is it constrained by the same issues "
Neil writes: "Five years have passed since the original Energy Cycle released on Xbox One, with it fast approaching three years since the sequel, Energy Cycle Edge, did similar. Now though it's time for those same games to go and hit the next-gen, with Xbox Series X|S and PS5 enhancements helping push the same puzzling affairs to an all new level."
TBGb writes - Energy Cycle Edge is an indie music puzzle title published by Sometimes You. The aim of the game is to match the adjacent rows of stars by colour. This is activated by clicking on them as each cell switches between three different colours. To beat a level you must get all the colours to match and that’s the basic premise for this game.
