Though we all enjoy mainstream titles, there's something about indie games that stands out. Here are some thoughts on why they're sometimes better.

Not by a long shot, you still have to sift through a lot of mediocre titles, but there are plenty of gems there, and room for even more now that people are buying less AAA games.

The casual games tag doesn't fit. The mainstream AAA games are usually the ones which appeal to casuals the most.
Because most of indies are not buggy or bland empty like most of AAA
Its the focus on gameplay/game mechanics instead of graphics/presentation.
Compare modern day Warframe to Destiny 2. Now look at how ome of the is F2P with a model that actually allows you to enjoy everything the game has to offer without paying a dime and the other is a full retail game with micro transactions.
I believe that is all that needs to be said on the matter...
