NRM: "The parts that make Red Dead Redemption 2 can be seen as cumbersome and slightly boring, so why is the sum of those parts an incredible game?"
Star admits he may have "misled" fans
Damn, I was hoping for an updated patch. Well let’s see if the rumors are still true, that it’s coming to Switch 2. There’s still hope……I hope
Everyone just hold up a minute! 🤔 This could still be possible. Perhaps this cast member was told to hush and draw attention away from a big reveal
The voice actors for Arthur Morgan and Charles Smith have vaguely confirmed a claim by Rob Wiethoff (voice of John Marston) that big news related to the Red Dead franchise will be coming "before Friday."
I hope it's a remake of the 1st game. But it's probably just the PS5 version of Red Dead Redemption 2
I hope a PS5 upgrade launches on the same day as announcement & it costs no more than $10. I already bought the Ultimate Edition once, they got good money from me.
I stopped playing completely 2 years ago until they did 60fps. I really didn't expect it would take this long & I didn't want to start completely over on PC.
My wish is that its optimized for current gen machines, with some sort of story expansion. Undead nightmare 2! My 2nd wish is that it just shadow drops on the day of the announcement!.
How much better can Red Dead Redemption 2 possibly look?
Sure, in 15 years maybe. I'm playing it right now and it looks better than most games today.
If the movie The Godfather released today it would also be perceived as cumbersome and boring by many. As would many great movies that favor good storytelling over cheap thrills. Red Dead Redemption 2 follows a similar pacing, it's story is in part told by its characters but even moreso by its world. It's so well-produced that it gets away with feeding its world and story to players in tiny, tiny chunks for days and weeks instead of shoving it down your throat, gamifying you to death and making you fed up after a couple of hours.
