Footage from an early Kingdom Hearts 3 prototype has confirmed Square Enix's original plans to include assets from Final Fantasy Versus XIII.
The first two titles in the trilogy were already Steam Deck Verified, but now Kingdom Hearts III has gotten its coveted green checkmark.

Final Fantasy XIII was always developed on the Crystal Tools engine. Final Fantasy XV(Final Fantasy Versus XIII) was going to be put on that engine as well until it got switched to Luminous Studio when the title got upgraded to an 8th gen system.
“Unreal Engine 4 is responsible for being the base engine for great titles including Batman: Arkham City, Bioshock and Borderlands 2.”
Unreal Engine 4 wasn’t used in 7th gen titles, that was Unreal Engine 3.
