PlayStation Discontinuing Trophy Pass From Sony Rewards Next Year

Those that already have a Trophy Pass will be able to continue earning Sony Rewards until November 7, 2019.

Man wtf, that shouldve never even happen then just to be discontinued. I was already mad that I got enough platinum but failed to unlock the pass from a mislead to get the points and now this.

Not surprising. Microsoft used to have a pretty good rewards program that they replaced with a much less rewarding one maybe a year ago. Real shame.

hackers ruin everything.It is very easy to obtain platinums through save data modification.

unless games are always online and saves have to pass through server checks at every modification/creation, there is no way they can do anything about save modification, hackers will find a way to decrypt and encrypt the data.

Yep. Just waiting on a list of all of the bad things Sony has done that other companies have done also. Seems like it's only a bad thing/big deal when Sony does it.

You mean being upset about a service that no one ever talked about, and probably either forgot existed or never knew about in the first place? To the point where when MS similar service was talked about, which was rare, it was never compared, or brought up by Sony fans that they also had a similar service? To the point that more people seemed to know more about Bing Search rewards than achievement point rewards, and never knew about trophy pass?

Yeah, sounds about right....rage on.

I didn't even know this was still a thing. I thought it was some beta trial thing they did a while back, and never heard of it since. Don't ever recall getting an email about it, and Sony certainly never marketed it to PS owners that I'm aware of.

Oh well, at least they're giving you to next year to cash in....since I'm assuming that's what you do with this service. Hopefully some other more interesting false controversy comes up to rail against, because I don't want to read about how anti-consumer Sony is, over this, for the next 6-12 months.
