Blizzard announced that their upcoming major patch for Overwatch requires players to reinstall the full game, and yes Blizzard stated it is for all platforms. A note on Blizzard’s forum explains that the development team is introducing some “fundamental” and “substantial” changes that can’t be simply patched over the current game. As a result, a full reinstall is required to handle the changes on all platforms as told via an email to Kotaku, the studio called it a “remaster” patch that will affect all platforms.

Does the reinstall mean it will erase the custom settings for each individual heroes or are those settings linked to my ID?
Edit: I play this game on PS4. I thought I should be a bit more clear on my gaming platform.
