Well, not as bad as it could be, but still annoying to see this kind of stuff in Fallout.

ccgr2423d ago

agreed, I'll just stick with the base game and any worthwhile expansions

-T9X-69-2423d ago

There won't in the traditional sense. All DLC is free and the game runs on dedicated servers. Instead they sell skins to keep the servers running and DLC free. Only thing you can buy is skins and the atoms can be earned in game.

senorfartcushion2422d ago

It's a full priced game, it is as bad.

Jinger2423d ago

As long as the micro's aren't Pay to Win and it's easy enough to unlock them naturally then I don't really care.

Alexious2423d ago

Agreed. I think Bethesda has done well in this regard for the game. Now they just need to improve bugs and prevent hacks...

UCForce2423d ago

Yeah, but you know that just excuses from them. Of course, this Microtranaction aim for younger generations and they will force these people to use their real money to access these items quickly.

Atanasrikard2422d ago

It's already been stated that you can earn the currency IN GAME. Who cares if someone wants to own a skin the first day? I don't get you people. It's like you think after you pay money for the game they worked on, you should get everything after that for free.

UCForce2422d ago

Your problem is that you will get screwed by them who get items first by using real money. Because sooner or later, publishers will put microtranaction in our thoart. You remember how dangerous MT was in Metal Gear Survive. It’s like you boiling the frog slowly until it’s died.

Jinger2422d ago

Well first off, these aren't pay to win micro's, and second I didn't play Metal Gear Survive.

Jinger2422d ago

I have never bought a single MT or Loot Box in my life. How am I the problem?

Srhalo2423d ago

And now you know the real reason Fallout 76 exists.

Alexious2423d ago

If people want to buy skins with their real money, let them. No harm done at all.

-Foxtrot2423d ago

“No harm done”

Then it’ll be

“It’s optional”

🙄

FullmetalRoyale2423d ago

Wow.... really?

*stuggles to remain sane*

Alexious2423d ago

@Foxtrot

I really don't understand what some people have against the ability to buy skins. Literally every game nowadays has them. Fallout 76 doesn't even have loot boxes, which are lame. It's just the ability to get cool skins, whether with real money or simply by playing the game. What's so terrible about that?

No Pay to Win at all.

ninerguy16082423d ago

Look. Babies downvoting you because they don’t like how you spend your money lol. Same people that wants the government to give them everything for free. Lol. But but where’s my free stuff. Sad

UCForce2423d ago (Edited 2423d ago )

@Foxtrot Agree. This is just excuses from Bethesda.

@Alexious So you prefer industry to kill us slowly until these publishers will put down on our throats.

@ninerguy1608 it’s no different from these publishers. You should reconsider your thought.

Rachel_Alucard2422d ago

@alexious

Every game does them because people like you kept buying them and excusing them. You also state that it's a plus the game doesn't have lootboxes, having less cancer in the game doesn't justify the rest of it from existing. Can't wait for Starfield being another open world multiplayer MT ridden run of the mill shallow RPG like Beth has been running for at least 15 years.

isa_scout2422d ago

You realize that just over a decade ago these paid skins would've been free unlocks and the only thing you paid extra for was proper DLC right? Man, I shudder to think how they'll treat the new Elder Scrolls. Bethesda is always getting away with stuff like bugs, hacks, and their awful game engine, enough is enough.

neutralgamer19922423d ago

And it's ironic because last year they were making fun of EA and Activision

thatguyhayat2423d ago

E.A took it too far with battlefront 2. Activision always gets away with it, its gets annoying they dont get the same treatment

UCForce2423d ago

@thatguyhayat That’s the problem with Bethesda. They are becoming EA baby.

Brave_Losers_Unite2423d ago

Bethesda tried adding paid mods to Skyrim and received backlash so they stopped the project. This is their work around

Srhalo2422d ago

Uh, they did add paid mods to both Skyrim and Fallout 4. And my money is on paid only mods in Fallout 76 and streaming only on the next elder scrolls with only paid mods.

KaiPow2423d ago

At least the icons are cheap!

Hardiman2423d ago

And this folks is the reason this game exists!
