That's actually really good.

Dante's Inferno is a must play.

BF1 is a good get but they've practically been giving it away lately. It was on sale for about $5 on PSN and the season pass was made free. BF1 is excellent, but it's cheap af now, so i'd assume that anyone who wanted it has already purchased it by now. Regardless, this is a pretty good month especially considering how atrocious GwG was last time. Dante's Inferno is actually a very good God of War clone. I beat it on 360 and PS3 and even though it is obscenely short, the ride is fun the entire time.

yeah, I guess after giving away the game for almost nothing and the Premium for free, I guess putting it on here won't hurt a bit. I also got the base game for <$5 during the last sale and the Premium for free too. still have yet to touch it though

Very good month.

Dante's Inferno is criminally underrated. Strange that EA would make a sequel to all their other games but not this one

Dante's Inferno is a good game. It's a quality God of War clone, but it isn't without flaws. I love the game, but i can understand why the reviews were hit n miss. The game features all 9 circles of hell, and early on each circle is distinct and unique. I was impressed with the different enemy variety and unique feel from the first several circles, but as you descend further the levels become repetitive and lazy. The last 3rd of the game simply recycles the same enemies from previous floors. The gameplay also devolves into fighting mindless mobs of redundant enemies over n over. Inferno is also a very short game. There just isn't much run-time and it feels as though the devs rushed the ending. While the skill tree is extensive there really is no weapon variety. The story could've been expanded upon as well. The final boss was also a disappointment. I love the game, but i can at least understand the mixed reviews. The art was phenomenal though. Some of the best representations of hell ever made. Great visuals, good framerate, and solid combat.

I seriously disagree with your opinion of it's flaws. While I think the game does have flaws it's not for the reasons you listed.

"The last 3rd of the game simply recycles the same enemies from previous floors."

That's pretty much what God of War does, I don't think you should fault this game for that. There comes a point in the game where you have to take all that you have learned from the previous levels and start to apply them to beat later levels. Think about the Mega Man games as an example.

"The gameplay also devolves into fighting mindless mobs of redundant enemies over n over."

Disagree with this also, especially considering the this is a hack n slash action arcade game.

My biggest criticism is not having more weapons to choose from. If i remember correctly all you have is your scythe. It would have been nice if they gave you other weapons to fight enemies.

"..and it feels as though the devs rushed the ending."

I agree with this, which is why this game needs a sequel. The ending was left way too open ended with little explanation on what happened or what will happen next.

I just find it strange that EA will milk their other franchises but yet this one that came out at a time when EA was releasing new IP's (Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Dead Space) remains dormant.
