Capcom has announced that Monster Hunter World has sold 10.9 million copies worldwide and what's really interesting here is that according to Steamspy, the game has sold between 5 and 10 million copies on the PC.
“Since Steamspy does not provide any accurate numbers, we suggest taking this with a grain of salt though.” Uh....why would anyone write an article that they admit right off the bat that is total bullshit?
because of clickrevenue
I would wager Steamspy is no more accurate with their data than VGchartz is. We already know MHW sold 8 million when the PC version released. So at most 3 million, which is good, but no where near the numbers the author is suggesting.
Welcome to modern day game journalism.
Before the release of the pc version monster hunter was around 7m. Also steamspy can't provide accurate data anymore since steam is blocking certain stats from being accessible not that long ago.
I dont know what the writer is smoking. but he should definately stop.
Regardless, that's still some crazy numbers.
Majority my ass lol. Definitely was ps
And the other half from PS4 because this game is not selling on xbox.
Great numbers, why lie? Nobody felt the PC was a poor platform, so why even embellish. Congrats to capcom, please learn from the success.
Almost 11 million and all this without Nintendo.
What does this have anything to do with Nintendo?
Damn that’s awesome. I hope the recent capcom successes doesn’t push them back into the unrealistic expectations realm again.
Highly doubt it. Consoles seems more likely to make up more MH sales, more being on the PS4.
I hope Capcom releases more MH games on traditional consoles not just handhelds.
Monster Hunter World shot past Final Fantasy XV dramatically in less than a year on the market
If I reach 8 million in consoles before leaving on PC, how is it going to take 5 million in PC?
