Review - Call of Cthulhu (PC) | Way Too Many Games

WTMG's Jason Palazini: "Call of Cthulhu, if nothing else, is atmospheric. It's not about cheap jump scares, it's about telling a thematic narrative with horror elements."

Only 7.5? Damn I was hoping this would do better.

Yeah its a C level game with a C level budget so a 7.5 is perfect for this game, my only issue is the $60 price tag for it.

I think it will come down pretty quickly. Give it a few weeks for the price to even out

Focus Home Interactive have become my go-to for interesting, mid-level (AA) experiences. They deliver almost AAA quality, though with that inevitable jank that comes with the smaller budget. I've come to expect that, though I always leave highly engaged (Vampyr, Technomancer). This will probably hold true here.

It did. I'm going back for a second play this week

Disappointed to see Bloodborne not on the list.

Eidolon1283d ago (Edited 1283d ago )

It was the one game I loved that I know is Lovecraftian. 4/5 of these games are heavily Story driven/Interactive which might not cater to a majority of gamers.

Never heard of Conarium and Moons of Madness. Added them to my wishlist for a future sale.

VerminSC1283d ago

I always think of bloodborne as a good Halloween lovecraftian game.
