Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is one of Ubisoft’s best games, with one of the biggest open world ever created. Recreating ancient Greece during the Peloponnesian War using historical information was no small feat. However, when compared to the Guerrilla Game’s Horizon Zero Dawn how well does Assassin’s Creed Odyssey hold up? Does Ubisoft’s journey through ancient Greece overtake Guerrilla Games' first open-world title or does Aloy’s adventure through homicidal robots overshadow Kassandra and Alexios grand odyssey?
Sony is hosting its press conference at the start of CES 2025 in Las Vegas. As usual, PlayStation took the spotlight during the presentation, but not in the way you'd expect.
out of all the titles they could have chosen, those 3 could actually make decent movies.
They’ve tried a Horizon series and it fell apart, what makes them think a film is going to work with a shorter run time.
I was hoping the GoT series would focus on Jinn after the main game.
As PlayStation celebrates its 30th anniversary, let's explore the best PlayStation games Sony has to offer.
There's too many games to choose from
No Metal geat solid 1,2,3,4?
No Resident evil?
No Silent hill?
No Midnight club 3?
No NfS Underground 2?
No Final Fantasy?
No Burnout 3?
No Dragon quest 8?
No Days gone?
No Ace combat?
No Tekken/Soul calibur?......
just from the top of my head
PS1 era was full of great RPGs, PS2 was racing generation i would pick top 200 and even that would be just a fraction.
Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered brings a fresh new coat of paint to what is one of the best open world games of the last generation, but what has exactly changed under the hood?
Looks much better. I really like the upgrade to the character models epsecially and the robot dinos too.
Not worth the money. It isn't like remastered games going from PS3 to PS4, or 360 to Xbox One. Sorry, but those jumps in graphics were extremely noticeable.
Horizon: Zero Dawn did something new. Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey is just more of the same. I’d take an open world game filled with robotic dinosaurs over an Ancient Greece setting any day. I also like Aloy as a character better.
While AC Odyssey is longer, it has much more padding and while fun it's not HZD! It's cool cause I have both but if I had to go with just one it'd be Horizon.
HZD also has one of the best narratives and one of the most likable, fleshed out characters! Oh and robotic animals are never a bad thing!
Speaking honestly here, horizen is just an "ok" game to me imo. The early part of the game was epic but after that it just got kinda boring for me. Story missions were just repetitive human base take overs or going into ruins to discover the past and mysteries, the story itself is meh so I lost interest. Stopped playing and maybe only have 5 or so missions left. I do still plan beating it some day though.
As for AC odyssey, played like an hr and stopped. Lol theres nothing assassins creed about that game. Also stupid that it has MTs. Miss the older ac games...Hzd is the clear winner for me.
Not a huge open world fan as I was back then since I usually just get too overwhelmed by them, feel like I need to do sidequests and such then just get bored and stop playing the game. I like my open worlds to at least be semi linear like GOW for great story telling. Great balence of open world and linearity that game. Spiderman did open world pretty well since sidequests were quick and easy to do and damn that amazing web swinging just keeps you entertained.
HZD was a polished and beautiful game. The story was great for a video game and there weren't any used car salesmen trying to sell me horse armor.
Just because they're open world doesn't mean they are comparable at all. Because they're totally different.
