How many people worked for Red Dead Redemption 2?

Today, in the official website of Rockstar Games, they released an official announcement which thanks all of the developers worked on Red Dead Redemption 2, name by name.

proudly_X2381d ago

If you ask me I'd say everyone needs to support Rockstar by owing a copy of this game. They put in a lot of effort and resources into making RDR2, showing that they have respect for gamers. The game is going to have long legs, just look at GTAV still charting...

A lesson for EA and Activision that releases cr*p load of those yearly shooters... At times those milked games need to take a break and go back to drawing board of innovation. I have huge respect for Rockstar games and I don't care who is angry.

Though I wish this was GTAVI, nevertheless RDR2 is a must buy. I repeat, a must buy!

chris2352381d ago

as the western cowboy setting is beyond boring i‘d say it‘s merely a nice to have, not a must have.
open world is so tired, collectibles have always been boring and it is only a sequel. so whatever their marketing department says, it is still just more of the same.

Fishy Fingers2381d ago (Edited 2381d ago )

You need a new hobby. All you do is complain about every game, perhaps that IS your hobby.

Elwenil2381d ago

I'll support Rockstar if they deserve it. So far, I like what I see with RDR2, but I know how they did GTAV and how they dropped all plans of single player DLC in favor of feeding the cash machine that GTA Online became. It was a good business decision, but a poor one for gamers overall, in my opinion. So I will wait on RDR2 and see what happens with the multiplayer and if they pull the same BS, I won't be buying it, no matter how many people worked on it or how much effort was put into it.

Played the game for 3 hours now ... biggest fail, to look out of my window is more interesting.

BlueBlue2381d ago

Why are you always negative?

core_52381d ago

because this game is absolutley overhyped. I would this compare to the The Revenant Movie, where you can watching at Leonardo Di Caprio, how they crawl three hours through a wood and nothing happens.

xX-oldboy-Xx2381d ago

core_5 - The Revenant is a modern classic, brutal and amazing cinematography. Enjoy your Micheal Bay tripe.

RDR2 isn't say one for me, but I will begetting g down the track. Tomorrow is all about Castlevania SOTN.

JackBNimble2381d ago

I simply don't believe you, or that you even own the game.
The AI alone is so revolutionary that if you are bored then you are either not a gamer or you are full of shit.

sleepyhead2381d ago (Edited 2381d ago )

The game will be amazing no doubt but over 3k people working on the game (over the span of many years) and some of them still work over 100 hours per week?

This game is either out of the world ambitious or there is some serious mismanagement.

Ausbo2381d ago

People out there that are boycotting this game, need to realize that they only hurt the people that made the game. The more money they make, the higher their bonus will be. Support the devs

JackBNimble2381d ago

I didn't hear that people were boycotting this game, can you tell me why exactly?

Ausbo2380d ago

There are people out there who want to boycott because of the “crunch” culture at Rockstar. People working the 100 hr work weeks and such

boing12381d ago

Oh wow, I see a lot of friends in there. Congratulations to everyone involved.

I would have included the Uncharted games as well. Good list though.

Yui_Suzumiya8d ago

Island would be #1 but that would be anything from Frontwing.

QueenOfFrowns8d ago

Haha it is not lost on me that two of the games in the top four were already novels before they were games

fuckz those are insane numbers

Gamingsince198170d ago

I wonder if they count all the free copies everyone got from the epic store 🤔

gold_drake70d ago

i doubt that, it says sold and not given away fro free ha.

Gamingsince198170d ago (Edited 70d ago )

I have to wonder where all the people are then, because there are def not 200 million playing online, not even close. It's not a dig at the game (besides the fact they abandoned everyone that doesn't play online) I have been enjoying gta since the first gta on playstation.

gta 5 has been out for

ps3, xbox360, ps4,xbox one, pc, ps5 (ps5 version)

Giga_Gaia84d ago

We need a 60fps patch for RDR2 for PS5/XSX

Cacabunga84d ago

I would rebuy , say again goodbye to my social life and replatinum like i did on PS4. The best thing i have ever played

DodoDojo84d ago

And that is why GTA6 doesn't need to be priced at $100.

vTuro2484d ago

It's honestly insane how massive GTA has become.

jznrpg83d ago

Sadly I own it for PS3/4/5 even though I’ve never played it. I did get them for super cheap though and still unopened.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Steam Discount Sees Game Hit New Concurrent Player Record

Red Dead Redemption 2 continues to impress with its success, this time seeing its all-time concurrent player count broken on Steam.

Goodguy0192d ago

Such a great game, loved the story and characters. It just sucks there was some annoying real slow mechanics and such that made it an inch from perfect for me.
