1. Fortnite 2. Rainbow 6 Seige 3. No Man's Sky 4. Elder Scrolls Online 5. Final Fantasy 14
Out of those, I would say that outside of Fortnite, Final Fantasy XIV had the biggest turn around. Who ever thought releasing a game twice would end in it being so successful after the initial train wreck that it was.
Square made the remake into an actual event. It was just a bunch of cobbled together updatas which ended up making the game better. I'm not really sure fortnite needed saving. It was doing alright before bg. It just exploded in popularity due to marketing it as something new. If imagine the original game became more popular because of it though.
Man, auto correct too often changes my argument. meant to say that it WAS NOT just a bunch of cobbled together updates.
To my knowledge, no man's sky was saved by the dev, not the publisher. Sony was the publisher for the ps4 version only, and to my knowledge, they did not spend resources on the updatwe. By the time it released on x1, most of the criticisms had been fixed, and on pc, they self published.
I wonder if this is for the next playstation and xbox? It will probly be a cross gen title depending on when the playstation 5 launches
Highly NMS and ESO were “saved” they just went from being trash to mediocre.
