A few details have been revealed for the PowerA Gamecube-style Wireless Controller for Nintendo Switch.
Would be great if it had a built-in battery.
I hear this a lot about Xbox controllers. But built in would mean finite battery life. For my Wii motes I bought rechargeables so they can technically work forever.
Until the AA batteries die. Then you have to go the store to buy new ones. When my chargeable controllers die I plug them in.
Rechargeable AA batteries last a long time, and you can easily have a charger with 4 permanently plugged in, so it won't die. When the internal controller battery died, your controller dies, unless you open it up and replace it, which can be tricky.
You're missing the point, RizBiz. Rechargeable batteries eventually DIE. As in DEAD. As in will no longer hold a charge. If they're not user-replaceable, either you have to learn how to perform controller surgery to replace them, or you have to buy a whole new controller. Rechargeable batteries should be user-replaceable, as in the Xbox controller
Im gonna pick one up
Nope. Why tf is this not rechargeable? Pass on this, sadly.
