Mega Man 11 had the chance to give fans something they hadn't experienced in a Mega Man game before. While the Double Gear system offers a new way to traverse levels, and the art style fully embraces a new 3D look, it simply isn't enough to make the game feel like anything other than "just another Mega Man game". For some that might be all they wanted, but for others looking for a fresh, new experience, you'll have to look elsewhere.
