Though I've not read it, Quantity ?
Offline, SP story Campaign, like every game in the franchise says bye.
You might not care, I do.
Lazy... No, Greedy.... No Expected! I swear the gamers today just don't get it.
Im just an old fart I guess.
Been gaming since pinball machines, and played in the era when video games were introduced.
But what do I know?
Well, With age comes wisdom, and I say you've all been fooled.

Leeroyw10d ago

I've been playing as long as you old boy and you need to experience this game before you judge. It's something special.
-one old fart to another respectfully.

Forgot to add..
Its your money, your fun.

Zjet10d ago

It has offline play,

I did a full offline features rundown for old school gamers like us specifically to talk about the features

Thank you for this. It’s nice to know I can practice against bots - to get used to the maps.

It’s been awhile since I’ve played an online shooter - and this would allow anyone in a similar boat to get their thumbs back in shape.

You just don’t get it, only 9% finished the last black ops campaign so they spent time elsewhere. I think anybody who calls developers lazy and greedy should be forced to stop playing games. Sometimes publishers get greedy, but this is a ton of content at launch. I’m sorry the world doesn’t revolve around you.

Rhythmattic10d ago (Edited 10d ago )

i stopped buying Cod after MWII.. The moment I realised the "MP" player base was being split with paid DLC, I opted out.
9% ? Wow. didn't know 9 in 10 didn't want a campaign. Opps Finished...
Point is there are Great SP experiences with MP. A lot of studios do this, good , bad, average, whatever, I just scared this becomes the precedent.
The MP experience to me is many cases rinse and repeat. The pay of is moments that aren't scripted... Thats what makes it fun, and that idea alone keeps peoples interested.
To me though, its the world we live in...FB,Instgram etc online gaming is in some way an evolution of such things.
So Activison doesn't have resources ($$$) to throw a great SP into the equation because of a new game mode.. great reason.......................I t won't stop there.

Newmanator10d ago

Okay so you are paid a salary to be the Project Manager for BLOPS4. Activision tells you "you have 2 years to make a new title with x dollars." Would you spend it on single player or spend it on BR to not get left behind? It was entirely a business decision and had nothing to do with being lazy.

Rhythmattic10d ago

Your right.. Lazy was not the correct word.
Less time, Less money , more return.
So? MP is the cash cow... Easier to develop in less time.. Also means more releases, Allowing them to once again fragment the online community.
Rinse and repeat. Bit like their game engine..... lol
Sounds good to me.

Newmanator10d ago

All your points are valid - definitely a lot more money in BR than single player. They'll probably release single player as DLC and make it a win win for them!

I think this game is going to sell incredibly well unfortunately it has no campaign, and as someone who is primarily a SP gamer it will not be a game for me.

Elda10d ago

Getting top scores for 2/3 of a game for full price is funny as hell.

franwex10d ago

Most people are getting more out of the game since they hardly ever touched the SP, so to them it’s a great value. I personally did play the SP, but I’m the only one out of all my friends. Everyone was mad about Infinite Warfare being more of the same-yet the campaign itself was actually good-but no one played it-even here in n4g.
So I can see how that 2/3 of a game has more content for a typical COD player.

Hungryalpaca10d ago

Is prey half a game for only being single player?

Elda10d ago

I won't even get into why you're wrong but your analogy is 100% comparison.

franwex8d ago

@hungryalpaca I guess you got him there. Wow. Lol
