Assassins Creed Odyssey - Alexios or Kassandra? Ubisoft's game makes players choose this time, and one is much better than the other.
One question: if both characters play the same, dress the same, use the same weapons and abilities, have the same combat/parkour mechanics, have exactly the same story line and content between them and the only thing that effectively makes them different is the voice acting quality then why is Ubi not allowing us to change between them at any point in the game since they are effectively skins? Or am I missing something here?
There is a reason why you can't switch in game. It's explained in the story.
Sorry haven't played it.
I’m guessing it’s super generic and they’re twins, but one dies at birth/young age...
If you havent played it, why comment?
Golden, I asked to learn why, since I haven't played it and I'm interested to know stuff before I buy a game, you know like any logical consumer always should? There it should be simple enough for your underdeveloped brain to understand now. Oh look up the term "free speech" while you are at it.
Do they at least have different character interactions when it comes to dialogue?
@UltraNova just play he game. It’s going to be a huge spoiler if I tell you why you can’t change between Alexios and Kassandra.
Thanks, I will at some point.
From what I've read she's clearly the best option. Everyone is saying Alexios has weaker voice acting. And frankly watching a pretty lady all game is probably more enjoyable than a pretty dude.
I'm a female so I picked her knowing in most AC games it's always a male so I had to change it up to a female character since it had that option.
I was wondering why they didn't just go with her as the protagonist but I guess the option is cool if you have a preference.
Elda, The more I look into this the more it looks like the game was originally made with just Kassandra. Ubi must have back tracked at the last minute and added Alexios just to avoid the almost certain backlash from long time fans who always played as a dude. Wise choice, but lackluster and rushed execution.
@RememberThe357 The choice is there for player satisfaction. Having the protagonist be only female would just be outlandish as antiquity did not facilitate female roles in militaries like the Spartans. Let’s not whitewash history with falsehoods, otherwise we are doomed to repeat our mistakes.
@hay The hell are you talking about? Telling a stroy about a lady warrior has nothing to do with repeating some doomed history you seem to have pulled directly from your ass.
Kassandra all the way. Never gets old looking up her skirt at those granny knickers when she's diving. On a serious note, her voice acting is much better.
I'm using Alexios on my first playthrough. I admit his voice acting was patchy at first but I've now got used to it. At the end of the day though it's good that we have a choice and so far I'm enjoying the game a lot.
The waifu obviously.
Kassandraaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! (Sees Second Presbyterian Church Sign) Oh...sorry.
I'm playing as Alexios but all of my future playthroughs will be as Kassandra
This is a no brainer. At the right angle I can see up Kassandra's skirt.
It shouldn't be that hard of a question. Everyone is sure to gravitate towards one or the other for any number of reasons, and if choosing between a male or female option in a game stumps you, I question your ability to solve more complex problems. Oh, and the thing I hate most about 2018 is that no matter who I pick when I finally get this game, someone will take that as some sort of political statement for reasons I assume have to do with cognitive deficiencies. Oh well, I guess that someone can bite me. I'll play my games how I want to play them and I like having options.
