BioWare's Mass Effect franchise is still undoubtedly the best space opera after all these years. A blend of masterful storytelling, well-written characters and lots of heart-to-heart dialogs are what make the Mass Effect trilogy so special.
The Mass Effect trilogy shines as one of the only Western RPGs to give an immersive and unforgettable experience.
There's much better wrpg series. Mass effect dumbed down after the first one. Seemed a but different going from the 1st to the second, not in a good way.
My favorite trilogy will be the Ar Tonelico trilogy, Xenosaga trilogy followed by the ME trilogy.
How can it be the best trilogy when the 3rd one is terrible and the only thing it had going for it was the multiplayer?
Considering all 3 witcher games are better
Considering all 3 Dragon age games are better
Considering all 3 Baldur's gate games are better
Weird choice
They say good things come in threes. That would explain why these trilogies are amongst the best in the industry.
I like the Ezio trilogy and the ME trilogy but I also love the Xenosaga trilogy and Ar Tonelico trilogy.
My personal favorites would be the GoW trilogy (both Gears & God), the original halo trilogy, Streets of Rage trilogy, Super Star Wars trilogy, Metroid Prime trilogy
Xenosaga! I’d say games like Suikoden or Ys but they went beyond three games.
The Best Music in the Mass Effect Series! With the recent announcement of the Mass Effect trilogy remaster, it seems like a good time to look back on the well-loved sci-fi RPG from game developers BioWare.
Too bad Anthem ruined Andromeda. Bioware took the team that made every Mass Effect game 1-3 and put them on Anthem. With no team to make the new Mass Effect, Bioware intrusted its most treasured franchise to a fledgling crew of DLC support devs.
Agreed. I think Bioware are hoping that Anthem will dethrone Mass Effect. At least they hope it'll make us forget about Mass Effect Andromeda - which lets be honest, if it wasn't a Mass Effect title would have been rated a bit higher.
ME1 and 2 are 2 of my most treasured games last gen. The characters and the character in the world really stood out. The writing was exceptional and the depth of the lore truly made it feel like a living, breathing universe with real history. Playing those games i was invested in the history of the Krogan and the Genophage. I was interested in the first contact war between human and Turian. The origin of the Flotilla, the lfespan of the Salarians and how it impacts their behavior. All these things and more were fascinating to read, but they also built incredible character and world depth. Bioware supported the world beautifully, even establishing Cerberus in the first game. The Illusive Man was masterfully portrayed, the Collectors were extraordinarily intriguing, and the opening to ME2 was spectacular. I devoured every bit of backstory in those games and thought the world long after i'd beaten them.
So many good memories from Mass Effect
I bought Andromeda with all the DLC and all the patch updates for $20 , if EA had brain cells to sell the complete game at launch they would've made more money.
