Jonathan Blow was the lead designer of Braid, an excellent puzzle platformer of a very unique style. Rather than simply focusing on beating levels, there were puzzles interspersed with the levels and it created a rather novel and unique experience beyond just getting to the end of each level. A couple of years later Jonathan Blow returned with his new game The Witness. So what’s the verdict on it?

The Witness might be one of the best games ever made. A fun, frequently frustrating study on mysteries, humanity and a love of true magic.
The Witness is pure brilliance. I platinum'd it on PS4 and recently replayed it on PS5. It's definitely an incredible experience that requires no spoilers so just let the island guide you. Yes, the puzzles can get tough but they are never beyond completion so take come back and go see other things. There is also a ton of storytelling and mystery in the visuals. The Witness is the first game I have played that really took my mind to new heights of creative thinking and perspective. This game is more than meets the eye and 100% a masterpiece.
If you’re playing with the Mac OS platform then we have you covered. Here are the best open-world video game titles you can play in 2021 on the Mac OS.
I have the platinum trophy in this and I have to say I do wish there were more trophies because outside of the core regions, there is only one trophy for doing a special puzzle. There are so many puzzles in this game. There are so many secrets and things to collect. This is definitely one of most beautiful and Incredibly creative puzzle games I've ever played. It would be nice to really experience this in virtual reality if possible and I do have to say that this would make a great addition to the Switch especially if they can implement touch screen for the panels. I would give this game and 11 if the scale allowed it because it is a perfect puzzle title and I believe one of the best open-world puzzlers since the original Myst.
