September 7th came and went, and Spider-Man is fantastic. Many aspects of the game are incredible and Mammoth Gamers wanted to highlight how spectacular finding the collectibles in the game is.
I love the game, but man there is a bit of a grind towards the end for those who want to 100% it. It's not terrible, but the activities to grind aren't the best ever.
Way too many collectibles. DK64 levels of bad. Was probably the only downside of the game, especially when you get to the annoying pigeons and bases with 6 waves PER BASE.
I'll give you the pigeons, but the bases were awesome. I was pumped that the game kept adding more.
I thought collectibles were good, all had a little back story attached and the pigeons were good too just a chance to swing round again chasing something. But the bases and crimes were a bit of a grind for platinum. Maybe i shouldn't have left them all til last, but i wanted to finish the story.
Ah.....really? I didn't feel like they were grindy at all. The combat is so good that it made the whole thing really fun, especially when you figure out how to use gadgets and when. Oh well.
The bases were fine but they could have cut down the number of waves, it was tiresome especially the Sable ones. 6 for the first would have been understandable but after that 3 would have been just fine. It would have also been really nice if they rewarded you for completely taking out the initial guards completely by stealth by having the base completed because of no alerts. That was just a slap to the face and completely against all the stealth options you had available.
Yes mate i know, i did nearly all of them back to back so maybe that's why it felt a bit tiresome. I was just going from base to base clearing them out. Ill know for next time to spread them out. Story was so good tho i just wanted ro progress it. Normally when i see your name next to a comment i know im gonna agree with it!
Ugh. I just disagree. I loved taking out the first wave via stealth, but after that I was ready for action. I don't know man. We don't see eye to eye. I just loved the combat. Aside from web slinging I think that was the best part of the game. To each their own.
Fair enough. I loved the combat too, just got repetitive fighting wave after wave. Base after base. My own fault really for doing them all at once i suppose, but i would have preferred more side missions like the tombstone one.
