Cyberpunk 2077 Dev: “We Want To Show The Game Industry How To Do Things”

GB: "Mills spoke about how CD Projekt RED is a studio that wants to change the games industry, to show their peers how to do things, making the point that where other games or developers or publishers would have denied having any sort of political or social commentary in their game, that's not what Cyberpunk 2077 is going to do at all."

Already proved it Witcher 3, this will be like doubling down.

ConsoleGamer27d ago (Edited 27d ago )

As a man of extraordinary wisdom i unfortunately have to second this.

Just sold the game the second time after AGAIN losing any motivation of completing it.

cyber_daemonx27d ago

Agreed. So glad this is a new franchise. Apart from the graphics witcher 3 was meh.

GUTZnPAPERCUTZ27d ago

Overrated? You never invested more than a couple hours into then

TheDriz27d ago

Agreed. I don't think its bad at all, I just don't get the hype. I loved the first one and got bored of the second one. Got really bored of 3. On the other hand, I think Cyberpunk is going to be the best game ever.

Thank you RED for showing the truth

XiNatsuDragnel27d ago

Lol. I'm saying RED is a leader, not a follower of the latest cash grabbing schemes.

They certainly are full of themselves...

cooperdnizzle27d ago

Yeah it seems that way this whole time with Cyberpunk. Just for the record I didn’t think the Witcher series was ever that great. Not bad by any means but not great.

Blade9227d ago

You are Def in a minority.

neutralgamer199227d ago

Blade

Minority maybe yes but there are a lot of gamers like us who don't look at Witcher 3 as the be all end all. I have the game of the year edition but this isn't about few gamers there are a lot of gamers who say they couldn't get into Witcher 3

I guess sales still count but my point is not everyone who bought it loves it or considers it a great must have type game

iofhua27d ago (Edited 27d ago )

I agree and I love RPG's.

It was kind of average. Wasn't bad, wasn't great.

CarlDechance27d ago

"not everyone who bought it loves it or considers it a great must have type game"

That happens. I feel the exact same way about Zelda: BoTW. Personally, I thought Witcher 3 was fantastic though.

"They certainly are full of themselves..."

That's confidence. May come across as cocky, but they are considered to be among the best in the industry.

GUTZnPAPERCUTZ27d ago

The Header makes it seem like that, the article not so much ;)

Smokehouse27d ago (Edited 27d ago )

They already do with things like 17 free DLCs and making a free stand-alone Gwen’s game on fan request. Noone listens.
