343i is more incompetent than I thought. Even after these updates the matchmaking playlists still look like they were made by amateurs. I played 1 match and quit. Who is in charge of that Studio?

“Played one match and quit”

annoyedgamer147d ago

I couldn't get any BTB matches. The playlist only cycles certain Halo 3 maps.

EmperorDalek147d ago

You played one match and quit, why's that? I find it works much better now.

annoyedgamer147d ago

It does, I won't deny the patch has made it playable, but the playlists do not cater to BTB fans.

I can't believe how terrible the community is. No matter what 343 do, people like you continue to drag the studio in the mud despite the fact that MCC works far better than ever. It's sad that for this reason people will continue to hate Halo for the simple fact that it's no longer developed by Bungie. MCC is easily one of the best releases this gen, props to 343 for taking their L and continuing to pander to its childish audience.

EmperorDalek147d ago

Oh, they added a BTB playlist for the other three games, just played rounds from 1, 2 and 4. I assume that means Halo 3 BTB is favoured enough by the community to warrant being separated from the other three.

343 and Ms ruin tmcc. Lucky you can play halo 3, halo 4, and Reach bc

The fact that this game, nearly four years after launching, still isn't 100% fixed is beyond absurd. Glad they blew the dust off the game and actually went back to fix it but there shouldn't have had to be this big of a fix if they had just done the job right the first time, or find someone who could.

None of these games had this many issues when they were made, yet they touched them and suddenly it's a mess? How did that even happen?

shaggy2303147d ago (Edited 147d ago )

See, that's where your knowledge is severely lacking. You see the games as something easy, heck so easy anyone could get working online.

What you fail to understand is that just before the Halo collection got released, Microsoft released an update to their networking system. This hugely impacted how all of the games worked online, to such an extent that they were pretty much unplayable at launch.

So if anyone is to blame for the mess that was Halo: Masterchief Collection, it's Microsoft, not 343.

Sgt_Slaughter147d ago

Okay you make a good point, but why did 343 wait almost four years to fix it? The excuse of a changing infrastructure only can be used for so long, after a certain point it's sad. People paid $60 and STILL haven't had a clean experience in that timeframe. Luckily I got it for less but I'd be even madder if I had paid more.

Why did they wait nearly four years?

Oh I don't know, perhaps something called Halo 5 got in the way, and then all the extra content for that.

People like to read these articles and blindly assume the games are a mess. I played the campaign from launch and it was mostly fine, and the multiplayer is now great. People always find something to shit on, it's quite sad that this what 'Halo fans' have turned into.

DrumBeat147d ago

This is what nearly everyone has turned into.

Sgt_Slaughter147d ago

I own the game and from first hand experience came up with my opinion. Stop assuming it's a "sheep" opinion. Multiplayer is still a mess.

Would love it if Reach was in the collection.

Yes! Truly one of the best :). Would love a PC release even more!
